I hope these 10 tips help you if you have a disabled dog. Maybe you dog was involved in an unfortunate accident like Zoey or you foster or adopt dogs with disabilities. I hope that this video is enlightening and helpful for anyone who needs it. I never expected myself to be able to care for a paralyzed dog but Zoey and I have learned a lot in the past 2 years and we want to share with other people and other dog owners that IT IS POSSIBLE! Sometimes people are so quick to put a dog to sleep because it’s not living up to the expectations we have for them BUT if the quality of life isn’t diminished and there is a definite will to live still then why say goodbye to a life worth living? Zoey is living her absolute best life, paralyzed or not she’s going to keep on thriving!

  1. Such great tips. Love Zoey. You and Zoey are such an inspiration to all us followers. I wear that shirt a lot. And no matter where I go people always ask me about Zoey the Lab Pit. I love to share her story. And wearing her shirt feels like Im helping. Much love to you both. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  2. Great tips that I’m learning due to my little 14 year old 12 lb pug recently losing her hind leg ability. It’s heartbreaking until I learned to express her and keep a schedule. I never had kids, and all parents are dead. But my paralyzed pug is making up for it all. I am her human. Her favorite thing in life is to sit on my lap at the park and watch the world. We’ll be getting a pet wheelchair soon as your take on exercise is right. Molly used to chase birds up until a month ago. It’s hard to see her unable to squat to pee. And poop out of control. But it doesn’t bother when we love them. This is an excellent video. Thank you.

  3. Do you have any advice for someone with a incontinent dog that uses a diaper? My little guy always wiggles himself out of them

  4. I use huggies pull ups 3-4 T for my incontinent pug! He’s always in a comfort harness and we hold the diaper up with mitten clamps like suspenders! Lol he cant poop in so poop just comes out all the time. A diaper was the only option. You are amazing! These tips are incredible and sooo helpful. ❤

  5. Thank you so much even though this video is not recent I appreciate it so much. 3 days ago my retired service dog became paralyzed waist down luckily he can also pee but I am going to try n take him outside by using the info when he goes to the bathroom that’s
A really great tip I’m definitely going to use❤️

  7. My dog is currently handicapped due to herniated disc. The first day I brought him home after his surgery, I was so scared to handle him, and I cried a lot. I was so scared to express him because I thought I would hurt him. I spent so many nights up because I wanted to keep an eye on him. I even hurt my back because I was set on picking him in a way that I thought was most comfortable for him even if it was at my expense (I’ve learned how to pick him up in a way that is comfortable for both of us now). It was very stressful, but it definitely has gotten easier to care for him and we’re slowly building a new routine. I just wanted to thank you because watching your videos and you sharing your experience has made it easier and allowed me to see that the beginning is stressful, but that it does get easier <3

  8. Are you going to do a segment just on her and special needs stuff? That would be perfect because there’s hardly any video on this topic, and you and your pup are great.

  9. My 5 month old pit has this same problem we just noticed it. We are so upset and the vet bill is so much to handle.

  10. Bless you for taking such good care of her. I loved seeing her run around in her special wheel chair. She’s so cute.

  11. I have a 6 year old pit/beagle mix who is paralyzed in her back legs. I just bought her the exact wheelchair you have for Zoey but I cannot get my girl to move when I put her in it. How did Zoey adjust to her new wheelchair??

  12. I’m glad to see she is thriving. I remember when you lost your dogs and then found her again and I’m trying not to cry just thinking about it, but she is so lucky to have you.

  13. You have a beautiful soul ❤ ive watched your whole journey and every time you uploaded a video when she was missing I clicked on it so fast. Shes so blessed to have you and i think you should make this into a series it would help alot of ppl

  14. I remember when your dogs were stolen. It broke my heart. Have you guys got any updates on the other dog? Coco? You are an awesome dog mom! Seeing Zoe in your videos makes my heart smile!

  15. That hair is looking soo bomb on you ! Pls do a video on how to style it that way…I can’t get the parting to stay -.-

  16. Thank you so much! I just brought my newly paralyzed dog home tonight. Sometimes I move him to reposition him and he is fine and other times he screams! My heart is breaking. Your video gives me hope. Great info. I am going to watch your other videos.

  17. thank you so much for this video. seeing how positive you and zoey are gives me so much strength + courage to push forward with my pets current status. this has been so helpful, thank you x 10000. could you tell me what type of wheelchair she uses? and if she’s able to lay in it?

  18. Thanks for this video! I watched it when I was thinking about adopting a pet. Now I have my own paralyzed dog and made a video about how I care for her. Wishing the best for you and Zoe ❤️❤️❤️
