WW3 is my way to go – love the latest update and the progress the devs made for about a year.

  4. Guerrilla Games on July 8, 2022 at 4:18 am

Battlefield 2042 has to be the worst fps I’ve ever played

  5. Swumpy Frumpy on July 8, 2022 at 4:18 am

    how about Hell let loose?

  6. DJsubliminal on July 8, 2022 at 4:21 am

i dont trust and cant enjoy ww3 gameplay. im a 1.5-2.5kd player in most shooting games but in ww3 my kd is 0.28 as people somehow headshot me constantly and sometimes before ive stepped around a corner as its full and im mean full of cheaters. ww3 would be a good game if the armor was toned down and if they had aim assist for controllers as i had to play keyboard and mouse but it felt really weird to move around in. the main problem with so many games right now is the cheaters and its really getting out of hand. in ww3 nearly all the people im playing against are from india, russia, china and most countries that love to hack. i have no clue why im getting matched with people from half way around the world when i live in the uk and these players were all sus as sus can be.

  7. Fuzzybloodpc on July 8, 2022 at 4:21 am

5:11 U can be a completely F2P player ( I wish the best to those poor and brave ppl) but they get your money by frustration

and im saying this as someone who has 3000 hours in the game but some have 8 years

  8. mcm4090 on July 8, 2022 at 4:21 am

7 games and only 1 with classes.
    No one wants classes.

    Need to switch to pc

  10. Jamie Curnock on July 8, 2022 at 4:26 am

I was lost after 2042 but I found that hell let loose is the one. It’s insanely slow but once you get into that pace it’s so good. The feeling of large scale war is incredible, beats bf1 atmosphere hands down although it’s nowhere near as arcade like so takes time to get to grips with. I’m looking forward to a faster pace shooter when one comes along to console but until then this is really scratching the itch.

  11. Tears0fPhoenix on July 8, 2022 at 4:30 am

Some Games that I found myself in were Hell let loose and Planetside 2.
(Planetside 2 still is a little more casual friendly and Battlefield vets won’t have a hard time to get into it)

  12. General Corona on July 8, 2022 at 4:30 am

Will WW3 be on console last and next gen?

  13. shawnyscore on July 8, 2022 at 4:31 am

    I replaced 2042 with BF1. Its truly a masterpiece.

  14. Helder Monteiro on July 8, 2022 at 4:31 am

I have practically only playing battlefield 1 on PS

  15. Absolutely Rad on July 8, 2022 at 4:31 am

Video is about alternatives to BF2042… PlanetSide 2 with it’s massive 300v300v300 players per map is not even mentioned.

  16. Jack of Black Phoenix on July 8, 2022 at 4:33 am

WW3 and Insurgency Sandstorm replaced that 2042 for me when it comes to modern-era shooters, both are solid. If there is one good thing that comes out of all this mess is that indie and smaller developers are finally having their chance to shine a bit more

  19. Brandon Barnette on July 8, 2022 at 4:35 am

The dude with a shield in bf 2042 isn’t Irish lol most definitely Hispanic.

  20. APEX on July 8, 2022 at 4:36 am

I really hope they release WW3 to console

  21. Matt Miller on July 8, 2022 at 4:38 am

Hell let loose has been that game for. Started playing it more since I stopped on 2042. Really enjoying it and starting to get the hang of it. May pick up sandstorm in the coming weeks and try that.

  22. Ben Leach on July 8, 2022 at 4:39 am

See the problem is almost all those games are hard core games. We’ll never get that hard core lite or completely casual mix game that Battlefield is.

  23. Mohammed Nadeem on July 8, 2022 at 4:40 am

Since 2017 i have been playing Battlefield 1 and i have not found any game even close to how amazing Bf1 is

  24. Russc on July 8, 2022 at 4:40 am

    Bring on more ww3!!!

  25. haha fuckoff on July 8, 2022 at 4:45 am

    Battlebit is soo much fun!

  26. evilRCK-ttv on July 8, 2022 at 4:45 am

War we want war. Not social justice. Battlefield 4 but more authentic.

  27. MasteryPJ on July 8, 2022 at 4:45 am

“The gameplay also seems really polished”
Boy that did not age well

Then again, anything is more polished than overwatch 2042

  28. xxxmikey6981xxx on July 8, 2022 at 4:46 am

Vanish unleashed sounds good. How is the playerbase?
BF4 (and BF3 too) is still great and nicer than the most newer titles

How to get access to WW3 closed beta?

  30. Steelixion on July 8, 2022 at 4:48 am

Wat was the game in outro

  31. Derek Klingman on July 8, 2022 at 4:48 am

I made the switch to Hell Let Loose and have found it to fill that BF void. While it might not be modern, it’s very enjoyable and promotes team play on a level I haven’t seen in quite some time.

  32. Aarondacollector on July 8, 2022 at 4:51 am

Am I the only one that likes bf2042

  33. Underworld Guardian on July 8, 2022 at 4:53 am

The fact that a AAA gaming company completely Failed at an established product and Indie gamers are succeeding is kinda sad when you think about it!

  34. Ant ramblings on July 8, 2022 at 4:54 am

I have tried most of these games some like insurgency i have anyway been playing for a few years .crow i haven’t tried because i didn’t get into a game after waiting for ten minutes but your review let’s me know i would nt like it anyway .Br ,Survival extraction etc no thanks I like battlefield games not that other stuff .
Enlisted is fun for an hour or two but then feels like a cash crab.
Ww3 just got 50% better in the last few days since they improved the sound, its still not amazing but it was the reason to not play the game before so ww3 has the most bf vibes for me .
You missed out hell let lose though that’s the game you are most Likely to find people to talk too .

  35. KushOG on July 8, 2022 at 4:55 am

World War 3 is a game that I enjoy more than CoD and Battlefield right now, its just amazing and it kinda gives me oldschool battlefield 4 vibes.

  36. Artur on July 8, 2022 at 4:56 am

You should definitely give WW3 a second chance, especially now when Open Beta is just around the corner!

  37. Trispears on July 8, 2022 at 4:56 am

This was a reply to the top comment but for some reason it wouldn’t let me reply.

Ok this is a far reach but CoD mw (2019) has ground war which is similar. It’s not as good but it’s large scale fights with vehicles. There is no destruction but you do have kill streaks. There is helicopters and tanks for the vehicles. Good customization system for weapons and reasons to grind. I know cod isn’t the most loved game but this mode can be kinda fun. Just be careful cause there is tons of camping and sniping across the map.

  38. Kent Porcello on July 8, 2022 at 4:58 am

The ones I’m most excited for are ww3, battlebit. I might check out that Venice mod as well.

  39. Benton Thurmond on July 8, 2022 at 4:59 am

No thanks. Battlefield 2042. Is my choice. Hopefully with the update coming thing will get better. I try going back to bf 4. Did not enjoy playing time will tell.

  40. Isaiah M on July 8, 2022 at 4:59 am

83 (cold war gone hot) by the red orchestra devs deserves a mention, too, but it’s probably going to be awhile until that releases.

  41. XeviorMana on July 8, 2022 at 5:00 am

I just scooped borderlands 3 instead. Not looking at 2042 at all anymore. Glad i cancelled my pre-order after the beta.

  42. kanedNunable on July 8, 2022 at 5:01 am

    ww2 needs revives i think.

  43. Bert Bertlbert on July 8, 2022 at 5:03 am

    Hey guys,
I would like to bring attention to a great gameplay feature of Battlefiled 2042 that many players seem to miss out.
I’m talking about the Portal Battlefiled 1942 remake. It is the Battlefield game we have all wanted for years: It features great maps that are well designed and offer plenty of cover in all the right places. On top of that, it has terrific graphics that are quite different from the main game (they’re at least as good as BF1’s). Gunplay is excellent and feels satisfying, as health regeneration is turned off and weapons have a high damage output (assault rifle: 3 shots at maximum range).
This leads to much more tactical gameplay than in the main game, as every bullet counts. This is something that long-time Battlefiled fans will especially appreciate.
Also, the destruction in this game is very detailed and feels very realistic (practically everything can be destroyed, even tall buildings, such as a church, located on a map).
All of the aforementioned points combined result in an extremely immersive experience that feels like a real Battlefield game and is dramatically different from the main game.
You get the feeling that this is a completely different game from the main game, as so much love and detail has been put into these worlds (probably by a different team that wasn’t involved in the development of the main game).
Unfortunately, the content is limited (2 maps and about 15 weapons), but it feels like a real Battlefield game and is a lot of fun to play.
I would be very pleased if dice would develop this over time into a full-fledged standalone game with more maps and weapons.
Right now the game is on the ‘featured’ list in the portal, so I would recommend you to try it out (also enjoyable on the last generation).

  44. Mulsimin _ on July 8, 2022 at 5:03 am

tried most but non filled the void except for 2 games, battle bit battlefield and Squad

  45. Jérôme Cordeau on July 8, 2022 at 5:06 am

I just stopped playing online fps games all around …. Insurgency is fun but sprinting is not doing it for me , i dont want to run at 100
km/h but yeah sprinting is so slow and unrealistic that i couldnt play anymore ,the great era of online fps games are behind us , glad some indies are getting more loves but it seems the fun factor isnt there anymore the "wow" moments like in older BF , Cod , KillZone , Halo , Unreal Tournament etc for myself anyway , playing coop’s and single player games , is the way .

  46. RayyOne on July 8, 2022 at 5:07 am

Hey Lossy, just came across this video. I like how you greatly present all these games that could serve as reasonable BF 2042 replacements. Tbh, I’d prefer to play an updated, polished and satisfying BF game though, which I had hoped to receive upon placing my preorder. (and yes, I know that DICE will most probably not be able to manage that yet. Shame!) Keep up the great content!
