umm I noticed your service cat has an ID, in my service dog world the IDs are scams, im not trying to be mean or rude in any way but where did you get the ID card/ tag because if you got it online it has no legal standing and you wasted $15 bucks on it. btw I would try attaching the leash to a collar because its a felony to have it attached to the harness. I love service animals and I wanted to know how did you train your cat and where you got the vest from because all the searches ive done on service cat vests they all come up for service dogs or emotional support feline. how did you get a service cat vest thats so cool…
anyways that aside I am very supportive of your kitty cat I love him

I’ve read the ada and state laws from top to bottom and nowhere does it say that state laws override ada the only time state laws do is if it’s an extension to ada and it’s just health and safety codes or penalties but if something goes against ada law then state law doesn’t override ada and I’ve read the laws for every state and no state says a cat is legally a service animal if you went to court about your cat you wouldn’t win because courts always go by the ada law I was reading a researching long before I even got my service dog and that dog that attacked you wasn’t a real one cause a real one has to go through years of training for behavior and task training saying the cat is a service animal is illegal and I’m not saying he doesn’t help you but legally he can’t go into public places you doing this is making lives of real handlers a mess cause people think they do whatever they want with no consequences and the reason no one has stopped you is because places don’t know the laws so they don’t know to stop you so stop doing something you know is wrong get a trained dog and do the right thing I don’t care what you say about it I’m not changing my mind and nothing you say will and I don’t care what others say against me I’m standing my ground

Just FYI, under the Americans with Disabilities Act and I have checked pretty much all 50 states on this too. Cats are not recognized as service animals. It’s actually illegal to bring your pet into a public place labeling it as a service animal. Yes your cat seems to be trained. Good for you, I used to own a 16 year cat from when she was about a couple months old till the minute I put her in the car to go cross the bridge. She wasn’t one to be sociable by any means. Let alone training. But please, if you really need a medical alert service animal. Please get a dog or miniature horse or move to a country that protects cats as assistance animals. I don’t want to see you get a felony charge for bringing an unprotected animal into a business.

  28. TexasCowboyKing on October 27, 2022 at 10:52 am

Before 2011, a cat or any species of animals could qualify as a service animal if it is task trained, but since so many people have abused it and brought even exotic animals including spiders, rodents (mice, rats, etc.) and snakes and passed them off as “service animals,” Title 3 of the ADA was amended in 2011 to limit the ADA’s definition of service animals to dogs and in a very few cases, miniature horses. This cat definitely does a wonderful job though.
