Abandoned -Horrible Animal Shelter

Abandoned -Horrible Animal Shelter

I had nothing more then seeing animals suffer
I know usually animal shelters are kept to high standards and treat animals with the up most respect
But i get the feeling this place closed down for a reason

You can’t just assume they were mistreated because you visit a 3 year old + abandoned kennel…..it is simply a boarding kennel for cats and dogs – nothing there to suggest or price animal cruelty just because it gives you the creeps a little … just saying

I love animals as well, i hate animals being harmed. I once went for an induction at a abattoir and went into the ‘kill room’ it was the worst thing i ever seen in my life. I didnt take the job and the visiting experience still haunts me. I dont get how people can do that job!! I dont want to go into details of my experience what i hear of the animals crying before their heads gets chopped off, the animals are alive when getting slaughtered and their heads were cut of as the meat has to be very fresh, the animals were on hooks fully aware of what is happening. We had to wear ear plugs as the animals were yelling.

The guy who did the tour induction who very aggressive as well throwing boots around and swearing. He told our group at the end if anyone does not want to do this job he understands and just let him know if you dont want to continue on.

Btw im still a meat eater but seeing how breeded animals are kill for our food is evil!!!

Cool explore mate. I didn’t find it sad, or shocking though. It just looks like a regular old boarding kennel to me, where people leave their pets, whilst going away on holidays etc. At most of these places, the staff treat the animals with great care, probly better than a lot of their owners.

This place genuinely disturbed me, man it must have given you the heebee-jeebies. Though my apocalypse brain is telling me that this would be a great film/tv location. The names on the chalk board were deliciously eerie.

Thank you so much for uploading all these videos, I’ve just found your channel and am now watching through the videos, I live in Brisbane so it’s nice to see someone uploading abandoned Australian places for a change!

Like your videos Mui, but I think that this site might have been a boarding kennels and a small cattery.

I know you did the big brother video but if you do come to Brisbane I believe there’s an abandoned textiles factory as well as an Abandoned Mental Asylum at Wacol

but yeah i have to agree very much, its really bad treatment. im not into all the animal rights stuff that goes over the top but like they are living creatures. treat them with respect

Every time you went into a cage I was thinking you were going to turn around and someone in a ski mask would be locking you in…

Could that have been a pet minding place? Like where people leave their pets when they go on holidays and have no-one within their family to help look after them?

    Is this in QLD?

The 2nd set of cages is what part of the Melbourne Zoo looked like in the early 1970’s.
All the rest reminds me of the cage setup that existed at the RSPCA Burwood and at the Lost Dogs Shelter in North Melbourne also from the 1970’s. A number of Victoria’s Municipal Animal Pounds are still just like this place even today.
