UPDATE: Zena has been adopted!
There’s a lot we know about 1 ½-year-old Zena. She’s fiercely loyal to her caretakers. She loves to chase, tug, and chew on toys. Her ears cross like TV antennas when she’s curious. She’s incredibly active (think leaps and bounds) and she knows how to “sit” on command. The list goes on! What we don’t know is how she came to us in the predicament that she was in. A previous jaw injury healed incorrectly, and it prevented her from opening her mouth. Eating, drinking, playing, and panting was a chore for Zena. After undergoing orthopedic surgery, Zena is now just like any other pooch: ready to live a fuller life with her forever family.
