Animal Rescue – Pet Adoption | a before and after story

Animal Rescue – Pet Adoption | a before and after story

When we go about our lives mind-less and unaware, we sometimes create chaos and suffering for others as a result. Cadbury’s early life story is an example of such.

As a puppy, Cadbury was brought to us by his human family to treat a leg fracture that resulted from Cadbury being free to roam the roads.

After his recovery, we sent him back home to his family…only to have him return to us in a very short period of time. Again – Cadbury’s injury came from being hit by a car while he was out in the streets.

Cadbury’s injuries were not the result of malicious human action, but rather from indifferent negligence. It was at this point that we decided to hold on to Cadbury and do what we could to find him a safe home.
. . .
When we go about our lives mind-full and aware, we sometimes create peace and sanctuary for others as a result. Cadbury’s after-Peepal-Farm story is an example of such.

Cadbury (now known as Ringo) is living a happy, healthy life in Vancover BC, along side his new sister, Stella – as it is joyfully plain to see from his home video clips : )

Like Cadbury, a lot of our rescues are adopted overseas – indifferent negligence regarding animal welfare being a massive obstacle to local adoption. This is a mindset that will take time to shift in local villages, as sharing knowledge of ways to coexist compassionately with all the other beings we share this planet takes a couple generations to take root and produce fruit.

Until that time – we deeply appreciate not only the mindful humans who open their hearts and homes to provide a safe, loving forever-home to these needful animals; but also the volunteers who selflessly take on the “burden” of seeing these critters safely from India to North America.

Thank you @Peepal Farm & to Cadbury’s Canadian mom for your love & compassion towards adorable Cadbury. If only there was an active law world wide which prevented people like Cadbury’s former humans to have zero access to pets/animals.
