Like many of the other comments, I wonder which pet food company paid him off to say these things. He makes the sneaky, misleading statement that there are no scientific studies that show raw food diets are any better for pets. OK. Assuming there still aren’t any (in 2019), the question is why? The answer is that 1) no pet food manufacturer is going to sponsor (and publish) any research that shows that raw is better than their cooked food, and 2) such research IS expensive and the holistic vets don’t have the money to do such a large research project. He also doesn’t say that there are any studies that show that cooked/processed pet food IS healthier for pets … again, because no such studies have been done, either. Saying that "there are no studies" is not the same thing as saying "studies show that there is no benefit to raw food compared to standard conventional pet food." If he graduated from vet school, he’s intelligent enough to know the difference. He also doesn’t mention that lots of conventional food (more than the raw) is recalled because of bacterial contamination or other health problems. This talk is full of misinformation. See this interview between two holistic vets (Karen Becker and Barbara Royal) for a different view on pet health: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF-yrPPnfxo

After listening to this video, I went back to feeding my dogs to raw. You might as well see "brought to you by MARS corporation" in the background. lol

Vets know as much about nutrition for pets as doctors do for humans… Do your own research and use logic. As for this clown. Please go away…

  8. MySpec Tactical on September 13, 2019 at 11:31 pm

Why are we asking vets to keep our dogs away from vets???

  9. Don720 on September 13, 2019 at 11:33 pm

That’s WESTERN SCIENCE for u, they believe in Evolution n homosexuality n male n female equality. They forget, they didn’t have processed dog food long ago. They feed raw food to dogs, ages ago. We are killing our pets with all kinds of diseases for that matter we are making ourselves sick with processed foods. Western Science is like Western Sabbath, they try to tell u what is, but really it isn’t. For example, ,they tell Sunday is the Sabbath, but really it is Friday night to Saturday night. Similar to that, they make the same mistakes from all kinds of stuff from business, to dental, to medicine, where you have part truth n part lies. Sometimes they know n sometimes they don’t know that they are doing it. I’m not saying it’s totally useless, yes some science, medic fields do help, but sometimes it does as well. U have to decide.. I’ve heard they gave heart surgery to a guy who was really old. I thought, they doing it for the money and not for his health. At that age, might as try to live best u can, because surviving heart surgery would be very very risky. The guy died after the surgery a few days later. So u shouldn’t necessary trust every the doc says.. Make up your mind the best u can. I recommend with prayer..

Trend? TREND? Since when was raw diet a trend??

  17. Halloween on September 13, 2019 at 11:45 pm

To be fair my working cocker (english) seems to survive solely on my shoes, socks, and general clothing, i see no need to add extra expenditure on raw foods.

  18. Nathaniel Vasquez on September 13, 2019 at 11:49 pm

Do people even realize wolves & dogs are fuckin sub species this isn’t rocket science do a little research it goes a long way wolves & dogs digestive track is virtually identical & what do wolves eat? In the wild & captivity kibble? No fuckin meat bone & organ meat maybe with the exception of a little green in the preys stomach feed raw folks if you want a long lived healthy animal with minimal vet visits

  19. Alex Cintas on September 13, 2019 at 11:50 pm

    "wild dogs eat raw"
What do you expect them to do, cook it?
You raw OCD morons are like a cult.

  20. Káî Mâķéš Ćóńťêńť on September 13, 2019 at 11:51 pm

Dogs and cats CAN eat raw, as their ancestors have been eating it since the dawn of time. Wolves, tigers, lions and other relatives to our house pets aren’t eating kibble from Wal-Mart, and neither should your cat or dog. My dog does eat kibble, yes, but if I could I would probably switch her to a raw diet. I remember a few years back that many pet foods were recalled off of shelves for the exact reason of killing pets. I’m not a professional, but if I’m correct, all of the information above is true (not in this video), I wonder what pet food brand paid you for this.

  21. Tracey Smallwood on September 13, 2019 at 11:53 pm

My dog had to have emergency surgery from having a raw bone. The bone shattered ripped her bowl. Never again will I give her raw food

  22. Mike Stacker Stack on September 13, 2019 at 11:53 pm

No i will not ask a vet because i found most of them to be brainwashed or straight up liars

  23. Swaran Bains on September 13, 2019 at 11:54 pm

ALL KIBBLE BRANDS ARE A MONEY MAKING SCAM THEYRE A BUSINESS AT THE END OF THE DAY MAXIMISING PROFITS

  24. American Citizen on September 13, 2019 at 11:56 pm

So dogs ate raw meat for millions of years but they expect me to believe that now they can’t handle it? They have the ability to fight all kinds of bacteria. This video is insulting my intelligence.

  25. Juanita Miglio on September 13, 2019 at 11:56 pm

dude is sponsored by the kibble industry

  26. Dazzling Jasmin on September 13, 2019 at 11:58 pm

What if i juss give them egg?

  27. Rick Kolody on September 14, 2019 at 12:00 am

This guy is not a vet.  He’s a phony.  Organic foods are the most regulated foods in America.  The word natural should not be a word.  It means nothing.  It sure doesn’t mean organic or healthy.  Your hot dog could be made of pig shit and be labeled "all naturel".

  28. Alex Cintas on September 14, 2019 at 12:00 am

Let the pitbull/raw nutters tell it and you’d think wolves a thousand years ago never died from contaminated raw meat.

  29. Edgy Mc My Chemical Romance on September 14, 2019 at 12:01 am

One documentary, petfooled. Go watch that instead of this sewer spout.

  30. Alex Cintas on September 14, 2019 at 12:02 am

"but muh wolves ate raw a thousand years ago!!"
And how long did they live?

  31. 廖 Liao以諾 Enoch on September 14, 2019 at 12:02 am

    Mainstream propaganda bullshit!

  32. Swaran Bains on September 14, 2019 at 12:03 am

So foods that they were supposed to eat before kibble was invented is bad? Loool kibble is a market that just produces boat loads of crap

  33. Anna Grass on September 14, 2019 at 12:03 am

Hey, Doc? You can go to school and get a diploma still be a good looking fool! SAD! that you don’t much abut dogs because your nutrition class was paid my Big food company.

  34. Anna Grass on September 14, 2019 at 12:03 am

Sad, good looking Doc but a fool.

  35. Alex Cintas on September 14, 2019 at 12:03 am

One thing I will saw about raw nutters, they all seem to have OCD, no spouses and generally like nasty, stupid breeds with blown out butt holes like Huskies and "pitties".

  36. cal turner on September 14, 2019 at 12:06 am

Weird. All the Vets are stanning for cancer causing kibble. It’s like they have a interest in pushing people to harmful processed bullshit. How come wild animals dont struggle with these bs warnings?

  37. talkingheadzzz on September 14, 2019 at 12:10 am

Very easy: fresh, natural, species-appropriate, and not highly processed foods. Cats are obligate carnivores. Basic! I had cats with diabetes, dental problems, obesity, etc. All because of dry food. Cats never went out to cook their food in the wild! — Stop insulting our intelligence!

  38. Antoine Walden on September 14, 2019 at 12:11 am

He is a Typical vet they are all like this..

  39. Rican Cobain on September 14, 2019 at 12:12 am

What the fuck does a vet know about animal diets?

  40. Edgar Baron on September 14, 2019 at 12:15 am

I am curious, who regulates the bad food that has been put on the market and recalled after the damage is done? I took my K9 off processed dog food and cured all hos digestive issues. I am sure big brand dog food suppliers aren’t going to do a raw food study.

  41. daveed420420 on September 14, 2019 at 12:15 am

I will not apologize for sharing what I understand.

For thousands, maybe million of years (atleast as far as we can trace) canines survived on a wide spectrum of meat, like rabbit ect/fish/root vegetable families and even berries and other vegetation such as grasses. There is NO argument about that. Dr.Campbell, can you please explain, what makes you think that this "New" processed food, is something necessary for health as from the dawn of time, the canis species have prospered around the world. Maybe i shouldnt ask what makes you think but who pays you to day this. I almost find this unprofessional for the scientific community and I will be sharing this with my collegues.

Also, in regards to the contaminants… I believe you need to open a book and not feed into whatever you were taught. It seems that certain contaminants may help build a stronger immune system, especially when we are speaking of bacteriums found in nature.

The contaminants i have heard of, have been in common name brand foods such as pedigree and Iam (unfortunately the corporations, as usual hold a low standard and only worry about profits) … Have been discovered carring heavy metals, solomonella, carcinogens and similar agents releated to heart disease (check w FDA if you dont believe) and EVEN toxic levels of Vit.D and fungus…

    Dr.Campbell, get a new job

  42. bgregg55 on September 14, 2019 at 12:17 am

paid for by the multi-billion dollar pet food industry. dogs are carnivores.

Kibble Is High In Starchy Carbohydrates

It has to be … that’s what holds those little kibble pellets together. Your dog doesn’t need starch in his diet.
Starch creates an unhealthy gut … causing digestive and other issues. It leads to long-term chronic conditions … like allergies and skin problems.
