Hello, I am new on Rover. How can I know I am getting paid like what day?

  4. Mallory on January 5, 2023 at 1:38 am

Hi Paige! Thank you so much for this video it was super helpful! I just started on Rover and I’m curious about the meet a greet process. What do you usually do? Do you meet the owner and pet for any service you provide? Do you meet at their home?

  5. Edith Gabriela Alvarez on January 5, 2023 at 1:39 am

Can you help me how to accept pending requests? I can’t find the option in the app

Is it ok for underage people?

  8. stephen trujillo on January 5, 2023 at 1:46 am

@paige do they bring and pick up the pet. Or do I need to go pick up and drop off their pet?

  9. Summer Peterson on January 5, 2023 at 1:47 am

After Rover takes 20% and you have to put aside at least 20% to pay for taxes you get only about 40-50% of what you charge! 🙁 I wish clients on Rover understood why I have to make my prices higher. Also she doesn’t mention this but I read that you have to track your personal driving as well as your business driving to be able to prove what portion was for business to get the deduction. Talk about a hassle, even with an app. They don’t want to make being self employed easy on you!

  10. Big Slick P1 on January 5, 2023 at 1:49 am

Wasn’t sure I wanted to commit 25min to watching one video about Rover. I thought I wanted multiple opinions on the app but after the first ten minutes I was drawn in by your pleasant personality and loads of accurate information.

I have used the app to find people in my area to take care of my pets and I have been lucky to find great people with great results. I was considering offering my services on Rover and just wanted some feedback from other people who have done it.

After watching the entire video, I don’t need to watch any other videos. Paige is accurate in everything she talks about. All of my experiences with Rover helpers have played out exactly like she describes.

Very helpful and well put together! Thanks for the information and encouragement to help others.

Like my dog was hurt by a rover sitter but rover had the health and safety guarantee so it covered 6k of surgery :'(

  28. Hefty on January 5, 2023 at 2:04 am

Is it possible to do this without providing any tax documents? I’m not a tax filer and I’ve never done taxes because I never had a job and I’m currently in college.

  29. zara on January 5, 2023 at 2:05 am

I’m a student with F1 visa and my husband want to do dog walking with Rover app. Is it possible for him to do this with F2 visa?

  30. Alex Townsend on January 5, 2023 at 2:06 am

Rover assists guest in theft of services. I had an owner leave his dog extra days beyond the original booking that Rover will not pay me for.

  31. Joshua on January 5, 2023 at 2:07 am

    Your a blessing❤️ thank you

  32. Alayna Bricco on January 5, 2023 at 2:08 am

Rover is so hit or miss. I’ve been doing it for almost a year and at least 70% of the time, the owners are not upfront about exactly how problematic their pets are. And once they drive away, you’re stuck. They lie about the dogs weight, size, potty training, crate training, behavioral traits, aggressiveness and health….in order to have them accepted. Some of them are fabulous pets and wonderful to work with, but most of them are a nightmare. And I have owned a farm for 35 years and work with animals of all kinds, night and day

  33. plv702 on January 5, 2023 at 2:10 am

Hi. Im try to sign up to dogsit on rover but I’m not sure how to do the reference part. It’s asking for emails? Do I add my friends email and they receive something from rover?

  34. adriane boltenhouse on January 5, 2023 at 2:12 am

I been trying to find this answer so maybe I can help. I have my 1st rover booking in few days. 5 nights and it’s showing charges for those nights but the pick up they have marked from noon to 10pm so it is not showing the extended care rate. When they come pick up will the app ask what time they come to close out the stay and will it determine the % of extended stay rate then ( the 50 or 100% off the hours) or will I need to go on and modify it? If it doesn’t do it for me should I make the modification before the visit and then issue the refund after if need be?

  35. Leydi Lucas on January 5, 2023 at 2:18 am

Hi there! Thank you for this video! I just set up my profile and am ready to work! I was wondering what happens next. Do you wait for clients to find you? Are you able to see available jobs (i know Wag does that, but wasn’t sure if rover did as well). Is it the same app for both sitters and clients? Kind of confusing because its hard to get to my sitter profile lol

  36. video games on January 5, 2023 at 2:19 am

actually going over the payment history and explaining stuff is really helpful thanks. im just starting out

  38. Sharon Cali on January 5, 2023 at 2:21 am

I just did my first dog boarding and my client and Icant figure out how to end the stay. Today she got picked up but it still says ‘cancel booking or modify " but she already got picked up so how do we complete the stay ?! please help !

  39. B H on January 5, 2023 at 2:21 am

Thank you so much for this video! Lots of invaluable info here! I am thinking of starting with Rover or Wag too (or are there better apps?) Like you, I want to have a niche and specialize in caring for elderly or sick dogs who require medications. I hope that’s not too narrow of a specialty though? Also, I have no clue what to say in my opening tag line and bio. Better to keep it short and sweet, or do people appreciate detailed and in-depth? Thanks!

  40. scarlett gomez on January 5, 2023 at 2:21 am

Hey so I’m currently doing a boarding job, do you know how payment works? When I will receive the money and like how that’ll happen? Thank you 🙂

  41. Jessica P on January 5, 2023 at 2:24 am

I signed up but I’m charging 40 for pet sitting overnight stay. Should I also charge extra if I am taking the dogs on walks and feeding throughout the day ? I’m confused

  42. Kathia Figueroa on January 5, 2023 at 2:24 am

Hi I’m babysitting two cats in a few weeks , I’m a little nervous because I have fur baby of my own. My main and only concern is there chances of your own pets to get any type of disease? I was told both cara are vaccinated and have good health , and same with mine. I don’t know maybe I’m just paranoid lol but I don’t want to expose my own fur baby

  43. Polar Bear on January 5, 2023 at 2:26 am

Hi thanks for the video! Just wondering, as im based in the UK- my app doesnt mention any tax stuff and our background check is free, do you know why that is? Just got a little worried when you mentioned taxes etc lol thanks again! xx

  44. Charles De Groot on January 5, 2023 at 2:27 am

Paige. You have so much charisma. You are meant to share your knowledge on video. This is your most valuable asset. You could help anybody with whatever you wish. Keep it up! I can’t wait to see you on a national network!

  45. WhiskersSnickers&LittleStickers on January 5, 2023 at 2:28 am

I was told you were not allowed to give out your number/contact the clients outside of the app with Rover. Also if you were caught doing so, you got blocked from their site and your profile was suspended. Do they talk about not "stealing" clients off Rover?

  46. Maddy Deveau on January 5, 2023 at 2:28 am

Do you have any tips for doing the additional cat rate when you’re starting out? I’m currently set up for house sitting and drop-ins and I’m not sure how to set my rates for that.
