While you’re out here, look at Marshals or TJ Maxx for puppy wipes. They are more gentle on the dogs. The lanolin in most baby wipes isn’t great for them. I still have a travel baby wipes for me in my bag but use puppy wipes for the dog. The stores in Orange County are always stocked with them.

Hello, thanks for those suggestions. I have a cavalier named Bailey who is five. What is the best way to deal with anxiety when we go away? Also, as a middle aged dog, how much would you suggest to feed him twice a day and then how many treats?

  8. K. Arianna. B on November 15, 2019 at 7:02 am

I have a question for the vet. My pom always have like a tear-y paw pads sometimes after I walk him. I always worry about it because sometimes he cries because maybe it hurts. I always walk him about 2 – 3 times a week for about 30 – 60 minutes at the park or a trail with grass ( maybe the surface is kinda rough ). But when i asked my friend, she said it never happened to her dog. So the question is : How to prevent it and is there like a supplement or ointment, etc for this ? ( Sorry I wrote a long question but this means a lot ❤ )

I’m getting my first Cavalier in a few months! Can’t wait! Can you ask your vet guest what supplements you should give your Cavalier daily, weekly, etc.? Herky and Milton are adorable! I hope my pup is as cute as them! ♥️

Which dog breed I should buy between American crocker spaniel or cavalier king Charles spaniel

  18. alyssa rosengard on November 15, 2019 at 7:15 am

I have some questions, thanks for a pre ask. I just adopted a King Charles spaniel not a cavy but I think their DNA and care is pretty similar. The breeder gave me a supplement list… I am not sure about some of them although I called my get and she said no about one. Here’s the list, garlic oil (I said no to this), vitamin C, lecithin, brewer yeast, probiotic. I am continuing with everything but the garlic oil. Any advice would be appreciated.

  22. Nigel Miller on November 15, 2019 at 7:21 am

Thanks for the tips. I’d like to ask your vet Cav mom friend wether she has ever come across any cavaliers without heart conditions and also how common are spinal problems (Syringmyelia) in the breed as we had two Cavies in the past suffering with this condition, one cavalier aged 8
at the time had to have spinal surgery using pins to fuse two back vertebrae together, fortunately the operation was a success and gave him
another 7 years of active life.

  31. Marcia Voges on November 15, 2019 at 7:44 am

I am looking forward to you vet video! I have a 1 year old cavalier who just started having red staining tears. It does not smell. I would love for you to ask the vet what the underlying cause could be and how to correct this problem. I feed Abby Origen kibble with raw food mixers on top of kibble. Thanks!!

  32. Maria Learning on November 15, 2019 at 7:46 am

    Love your videos!!
Question for the cav mom vet: I’ve heard from several that you should prolong neutering cavs, Im about to have a boy and wondering how long I should wait to have him neutered as I’m not planning to breed. A year? More?
