For the questions at the end… a fake service dog is most likely to wear a vest so more people believe them and real service dogs would wear nothing more then a fake service dog.
I have a walker. I don’t use it in my house to walk because my house is set up so I don’t need too. I only use it to sit when in the kitchen. But when I leave my house I use it. SMH. Keep fighting. I’m fighting my local transit and the refusal to follow federal transportation laws. I have had to stand up twice in the last 2 weeks because the driver refuses to follow federal law. It’s frustrating.
I’m a local and I will be visiting with my service dog to make sure they have understood the law. ( i was animal welfare in this area) I know most people know better in Gatlinburg and pigeon forge.

I’m not disabled and I mean, I would park in the spot closest to the door that’s closest to my room. I do that for convenience anyway. But it literally is the principle of the thing. If there are no spots there, you should be able to park in the handicapped spots and go in the front, since what happens if you actually needed to use your wheelchair? I mean, most of the other doors aren’t going to necessarily have handicapped parking nearby. And she can literally by law go anywhere you can. For your own safety!! That hotel person was stupid.

This is wrong. I got cards for every guide dog stating my guide dogs were trained and given info about me and them with a picture and the school’s info and signed by the president. So that’s untrue. Saying it’s a scam to get a card saying your dog is trained. Every school I went to gave me a card stating this dog is a trained guide dog. So that’s not true that it’s a scam.

I don’t remember and may have asked this already, so I apologize if I have, but where did you get Mya’s vest? It is beautiful. I am looking at different places to get my next vest for service dog in training. At the moment she has one from Amazon, but I would like to get her a better vest.
Due to employee ignorance no matter what kind training is provided, our company now only allows managers to say anything to anyone with dogs in the store.
However, the managers ALWAYs tell people they need to remove their service animal from the cart (we never argue with them whether it is a service animal or not), and we always kick out “service animals” who are behaving badly. Especially ones that show aggression to people or animals.
Yes. I absolutely know they are not service animals. But we have better results by not arguing that point, and just focus on the behavior that is not allowed instead giving them the opportunity to show doctor notes for their ESA or fake documentation.
I am truly sorry you have to deal with such ignorance and such problems with lack of enforcement.

I had the same issue with a River Bend Inn in Tennessee when I was heading back from Florida back in June of 2022! It’s insane how much they will try to justify going against ADA

Your dog is beautiful. Pigeon Forge is a different world when it comes to service dogs. It’s a shame that you’ve had to stand up for yourself so much here. Hopefully what they learn will help the next service dog handler that comes through their doors. Thank you for not removing the video.
Been there too. Early this year we went to Branson Missouri. We usually visit there 3 or 4 times a year and have season passes to silver dollar city. SDC as the two questions management approved it and put a sticker on my pass so I didn’t have to answer the questions every time. The motel we stayed in this time is one we’ve stayed in several times. We was even in the same room before. Checked in in the evening. The next morning while out at breakfast I got a call from the motel telling me they needed to move me to a pet friendly room. I do not stay in pet friendly rooms because of the dangers of untrained dogs staying around me. I said no I didn’t want to stay near other dogs. Also informed her it was illegal to move me or insist I stay in a petfriendly room. She got huffy and demanded I come to the office after already being told we was out finishing breakfast. So after breakfast we went back to the office. I tried to show her the ada pertains to them and she refused to read it. Said she had called and knew what the rules were. This was the manager. She proceeded to harass me saying they were protecting people with allergies. I said but you are discriminating against the disabled. Then the other person started in to with both of them saying why don’t you care about people with allergies. I responded with why don’t you care about the disabled and about mine and my dogs safety. We stayed in the same room but they weren’t happy. Now remember we had already stayed one night in that room. We only had one more night to stay. Turned out they had got a new manager.

The stage neck inn in Maine denied my daughter having her wedding there because I have a service dog. They sent a rude letter with no explanation and our deposit for the Wedding back. My dog is very well trained and they told me the wedding is expensive. I have saved ally life for it. I’m sorry this happened to you.

That’s horrible I am so sorry for that you had to go through all this I am getting hell for my service dog as well and I am telling them about the ADA law also where I get my waiver program they are also saying I can’t have my service dog in waiver staff car or the company car I called the ADA and they are not helping me what can I do?
Its a shame when your medical problems cause tachycardia already, then to have anxiety on top which causes even more tachycardia that’s unnecessary for your body. The shame in all that is that it’s the ignorant people that causes the anxiety, like when you were checking in, that’s completely unnecessary.

We were told at the school our dog can be kicked out and ourselves if the dogs misbehaving, dirty, or anything other undesirable things. So our dogs need to behave properly. I don’t have guide dogs anymore. You are supposed to show a certificate. That is what the school told us. So we had cards for each dog, stating date of graduation. Guide dogs wear a metal harness with a long handle to guide with leather coverin git.
that’s illegal- under the ADA, People don’t have to be to be in a wheelchair, it’s not a full requirement in order to have a service dog. you can only be in a wheelchair if you have spinal cord injury/any type of balance disability, And it’s also illegal to ask for medical records, “you are walking/standing and you use a wheelchair?!” that is so rude it’s not a full requirement in order to get/have a SD. in order to have one is to go on a service dog website that is not a scam or take at least two years to fully train your dog then take the public access test, it’s literally not that hard if you think it’s hard screw you.
My husband has a service dog & I always let them know ahead of time when booking just so I don’t have these issues.yes you don’t have to but it sure makes life easier
