DIY YL Paw Balm | Young Living Essential Oils
No matter the season, if your dog or cat loves the outdoors, you’ve probably wondered how to treat a cracked paw or dry paw after one of your furry friend’s many wild adventures. And if you’ve ever shopped for commercial paw balms, then you’ve probably wondered how to treat your pet’s paws with naturally derived emollients like tea tree oil, shea butter, and coconut oil. The Animal Scents® line and the Young Living blog are on paw patrol with a DIY paw balm infused with essential oils. This homemade paw balm is naturally nourishing for paws of all shapes and sizes, all year long!
In this video, watch as we assemble our DIY paw balm infused with essential oils. The recipe for dry, cracked paws features shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex, and a selection of our favorite Animal Scents: Mendwell™, Infect Away™, and PuriClean™. After heating the ingredients and mixing to combine, pour the liquid into a small glass storage container and cool for at least 3 hours. Once the balm has solidified, massage a small amount into your pet’s paws. You can give them some extra pampering any time with the softness of shea butter and the aromas of Geranium, Myrrh, Patchouli, Lavender, and Frankincense.
Keep your pup on her toes and your feline friends on the prowl with this easy-to-make paw balm filled with wholesome moisturizers and a sweet selection of pet-friendly aromas.
