Shih Tzu PLEASE!! My husband got me one for Xmas, this puppy is extremely playful, hyper, and etc… he just doesn’t stand still, not even for the brushing! I have a Chihuahua, but I never had any problems with her.

This video was amazing. However, after the bath , I couldn’t hear a word you were saying. A voiceover would have been nice. You were talking about stuff I really wanted to hear, but I couldn’t. The video would have been perfect if I could have heard you.

  8. pbj ice cream stew on May 17, 2022 at 5:09 pm

Can’t hear anything you were saying towards the end of your video…. ☹️

  9. Caitlin Horstpower on May 17, 2022 at 5:12 pm

Very very helpful. My little ShihTzu’s coat grows so fast. I like to groom her between her professional groomer visits. One suggestion – comment – I had trouble hearing your instructions over the dryer/vacuum noise. At that point – when you were doing all the finishing . . . did that machine need to be running???? Thanks for the instructions for a ‘practical’ trim for a non-show dog!

I did not see link for the clippers themselves. I saw all of the attachments, am I missing it?

I know this was an older video, but as I’m trying to successfully learn how to groom my cavapoo myself, this was extremely helpful. I love her nice and short since we do daily grooming and it makes it easier to keep her clean. You mentioned in another video that you had a step by step pdf in the description but I couldn’t find it. Do you still have that? I would love to have one printed out and with me while I’m working with my dog. Thank you!

I have new fur babies 9 week Chihuahua and cooler spaniel mix. One looks like a baby bare like you are grooming. I just want to shear the hair in his eyes until I get them vaccinated in the next 2 weeks.

So is it safe to say that the basic fun-damentals of this trim can be applied to all breeds? Pure or mixed. And was that face what people refer to as the teddy bear face?

  35. Niall Byrne on May 17, 2022 at 5:51 pm

I’m in my 50’s & still playing around with the idea of grooming as my final career choice 🙂 I did human hair for 10 yrs & I love dogs which makes me think I’ll be good at it. Thanks for sharing. I’ll be watching more of your videos. That dog was so well behaved & so sweet.
