I have adopted 2 dogs from 2 different shelters nobody wanted their loss my gain. Have been best dogs ever both are senior dogs and I am a senior myself lol. They are with me 24/7. They are in my will if I should pass before them. I am leaving my house and money to a friend to take care of them. They saved me not me saving them am blessed to have them in my life. No Regrets.
THANK YOU

She looked like she was now smiling in one picture! ❤ love this dog and that someone recognized she needed and deserved love.
She is an absolute beautie!! I love her smile! It’s awesome to see how happy she is, and how could people pass her up? They are truly the ones who lost out on a sweetheart! Glad she’s with you guys, you gave her the life she always deserved!
Thanks for saving that sweetheart!
Our old lady baby ……..she is beyond blessed by your love. Thank you
My wife and I talked about doing the dame thing when we get to a house. We are going to be dong that in the next year. Thanks God for people like you!!! Its awesome to see the change in the dogs behavior.
I love this story ❤️
You are wonderful people!!!
Thank you!
I love people like you! Thank You!
I watch a ton of these types of videos and this is hands down one of the best……You both think outside the box and were rewarded with a great dog….Seeing her so happy when you all got homes was priceless…I’m also thankful our military has great minds like yours…Thank you on every level….
I prefer a senior dog or cat. They are all babies to me. She is adorable! I would have adopted her. Why can’t people adopt senior babies? They are wonderful!
I have a 14 year old dog and thay love and play just as hard as the young dogs thay just haft to rest a little more but yes I don’t know what I’ll do when the day comes that he’s not with us anymore. He’s the best dog I have ever had.
It would be wonderful if more people thought about giving an older animal lots of love and care and spoiling in their golden years. What a pleasure. Unfortunately our dog does not like other dogs or cats. With people he is fine but goes beserk if he sees other dogs. It’s a long story but we ended up "adopting" him, sight unseen, when he was 2 from a family we did not know. As I say it is a long story and in a way we were forced to take him by my daughter, I was having doubts about this set up and I wasn’t wrong. He had never had his vaccines, not neutered, lots of other problems. We sent him to a training school for 3 weeks but it did him no good. Anyway the long and the short of it is we can’t get anymore dogs. As we keep him apart from our cats, he stays outside, has a kennel right outside our kitchen door and undercover and the cats are indoor cats. They sniff at each other through a screen door which is fine, but I wouldn’t trust him with them. I feel so sad when I watch these videos as I would so much like to have him indoors with us. He is a Labrador which one would think would be soppy and loving like our last 2 (they were so precious, brother and sister called Ebony and Ivory) so of course we thought it would be much the same. Our present Lab is a very big boy, weighs 140Kgs and would obviously knock a child flying, as he has done with us and neither my husband nor I can risk it. He really needs to be with a younger family with kids in the upper teens because he is very energetic but too much for an elderly couple. The trouble is my husband absolutely adores him…..so we’re in a catch 22 situation. I would love a soppy soft hearted dog like my beloved Ebony. She was so very gentle. Ivory was soppy too but also very boisterous; he actually bowled my brother over and the silly man did not say he hurt anywhere but told me months later that he battled for 6 months to get over the fall! Anyway, enough of me and my furry family (I apologize, I do tend to get carried away and go on and on) I’m sorry!!!! But my very good wishes to all you special people out there who do such a fantastic job. I salute you. God bless you all and all the precious animals you help.
Thank-you for rescuing the dog, you made pirate one happy dog…
Thanks to you and your husband.
You are truly a God send. You warm my heart and Pirate’s
Senior dogs and cats can be the sweetest babies out there. I used to call my senior cat "Grandma Kitten" because she was an old gal but had the playfulness and love of a kitten. To think that Pirate spent most of her life in a shelter is a travesty. It heals my soul to see that she was adopted by a loving family who wanted to make the rest of her time as wonderful as it could be.
Love…..
So lovely, bawling my eyes out
Great message, great video.
Those three make a very good looking family! Watching Pirate be a puppy is so heartwarming.
pirate sadly passed away ;-;
Pirate is so happy, that’s almost crazy to behave like a puppy while having 11y! Im so glad for her!
I’m seeing this after it was posted 3 years ago. Hope Pirate is still doing awesome. Thanks for giving her a beautiful forever home and family!! You could see in her eyes she is happy beyond belief with you!!! Enjoy all the fun with her!!! Hope she is still awesome!!!!
I recently adopted a 12 year old cat who had been in the shelter for months. Older animals make great pets and have a lot of love to give!
What a beautiful story. This couple is directly from heaven!
She is an old soul and thanks God she found such a good family!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! And by the way I’m not crying I have allergies…
Beautiful little family,,,,, thanks for sharing!!!
Is Pirate still with us ? 04/28/22
Thank you for adopting her and having such a big heart God Bless you and your husband
you guys are my heroes in so many ways thank you .
I am so happy to hear that our baby finally found somebody that would love her. Bless your heart our God was with you and your husband and pirate. Oh how happy she is I love your story. True love. I like to read how everybody got there their new pets. I am 85 years old and I had to put my beloved T-bone Boston terrier to sleep after my husband passed on seven years ago. As I moved into an apartment and no Pets Allowed. So he will be with me when my time is up.
Thanks for the beautiful couple…I really loved that…
WELL DONE GUYS YOU ARE ABSO AWESOME YOU ROCK…AND THANKYOU FOR YOUR FEARLESS SERVICE …YEAHHHHH
A dog needs a family more than a human does.
