My name is Lincoln and everything I reported here is true.
In the 2000s, animal welfare became a big issue in Brazil. Along with NGOs and animal protection laws, hundreds of politicians interested in self-promotion appeared. Thousands of people overnight became famous as “protectors of abandoned animals” and the river of money that flowed through social media opened the door for the criminals who stole money. 20 years ago caring and protecting abandoned cats and dogs was just crazy. Today ngos of rich people have taken over the scene, while poor animal protectors have been stigmatized as sick and crazy.

For years I was chased by a gang of criminals who used social media to defame me and raise a lot of money. Rich NGOs, a politician interested in promoting himself and the press alive in scandalous news reports joined the gang of fraudsters and accused me of being sick collector, to practice mistreatment of animals and a fraudster. Everything I had fought for over a decade was destroyed. My animals were taken, my family and my life were destroyed and several lawsuits were planned by the gang of bandits. Brazil is known internationally as one of the most corrupt countries in the world and for having one of the biggest social differences between poor and rich among all countries.

Despite everything, I found a place to live. I went to live in a forest on the outskirts of the city of São Paulo. I continued to care for abandoned cats and dogs. Together with my animal protection friends, Cleonice and Luis, we castrated almost a hundred female dogs from poor families in the region. Dozens of puppies were taken for adoption. It wasn’t long before the bandits who are known in Brazil as grileiros, criminals who appropriate and sell other people’s lands, appeared. Between 2014 and 2020 I was threatened with death several times by these land grabbers. In order to protect myself and the animals I opened a space for a man named Márcio to live on my land, but I was wrong. Márcio together with his family are people linked to fraudsters, used to take advantage of people to earn money . I was denounced if I did not give a large part of the land that he would denounce me the corrupt Brazilian police authority and the protection of animals. I’m in the hands of the bandits again. Four times this week a drone flew over the forest. They are the people who call themselves animal protectors. Interested in fame and money will do everything to incriminate the true protectors of animals. I need help.

I’ll never understand how anyone can abandon a pet, much less two tiny ones who are so sweet! 3:45 – the most adorable thing ever! I am so proud that I send you money every month. Life is so stressful, but being involved in your rescue gives me so much happiness. Thank you, Hope for Paws!! 4:43

I don’t understand why more emphasis is not put on transporting animals from overcrowded areas to cities that have waiting lists for families wanting pets. Load a bunch up every month and meet another group half way to the waiting list area and then they can take them the rest of the way.

Please choose to be a no kill shelter. This isnt something that most people like to hear. I would pay extra taxes if it meant you kept them alive.
