It’s not as easy as I thought it would be.
It’s me ! Julien 16/11/79
I just groomed my dogs since the groomers are closed bc of the coronavirus and they looks so horrible…I apologized to them
Me thinking how isn’t the dog scared with the fact that they are shaving it’s behind. My dog would freak
My Maltese fluffy dog went his first hair cut, very much like this cut. when I saw him after his treatment, I almost wanted to cry, where is the silky fur gone! So I decided I will give his hair cut by myself later on.
I watched this video like 100x’s wish me luck. I’m grooming my dog for the first time tomorrow since this world is falling apart.
What kind of clippers are those?
Don’t like it. She took too much off and you can see it’s skin. Not nice
SO BEAUTIFUL DOG.
I love it!!Good job:-)
Awww pho’s was soo good. She held her leg up knowing the drill!
Mmm taglio troppo corto… Hanno una pelle troppo delicata per un taglio così corto… Io alla mia non glielo farei
Did you give the dog a rest in the middle?
Katastrophe!
Why would you use those thinning shears? I thought maybe to avoid cuts?
Don’t pull the scissors away mid-snip please.
i prefer with long hair… look ugly short hair
thank you
I was taught to brush and dematt before bath and haircut. Gives easier finish.
What about a old one. She is not stay after 14…what you suggeat? Thx
My dog is very very sensitive with her legs and paws, what can I do to make it easier. She bites any time I get near her legs and paws!!
that dog is stressed out. you did fine. I’ll do it at home, thank you

Hi there, is this pure maltese or some mix?
Looks awful, nothing like a maltese should be cut
Hes such a champ
Ohhh, doggie looks fab after grooming <3
How about the inner areas between his paws?
Looks great!
Which ones are good clippers the ones I have for my Maltese don’t cut like that, I do her hair at home
Looks beautiful! However, I wouldn’t recommend that anyone, experienced or not, use a #7 for the sanitary area…too many folds and crevasses that could get caught in between the widely spaced teeth.
Lots of mats even after the drying.
MY AFTER BATH ROUTINE: BRUSHING & DRYING
Immediately after his bath, he starts going wild… rubbing his head & ears all across the floor or carpet. So I started putting a towel down & containing his crazy to only on the towel, keeping him from creating a bunch of tangles or getting dirty or messy all over again. My best guess as to why he does this, is possibly water in his ears (although I take every precaution to avoid the dangers of this) ORRR just the hair around his face (ex.. his “beard”, eyes, in/around his ears) simply being wet, agitates him.
So my advice is to immediately dry your pup because the longer you wait the more susceptible they are to matting. Never start comb their fur while it’s soaking wet or before it is mildly damp. Not only is it’s just difficult, but it just leads to extra work, knots, & most importantly pain. The hair and skin is very vulnerable this stage & it’s very uncomfortable for your pup to have his coat yanked n pulled like this.
Try “ringing out” their legs, ears, tail, belly hair, before removing them from the tub. Then begin patting them with a towel all over until damp. It should be safe to LIGHTLY brush & DETANGLE using a wide WIDE TOOTH brush or comb (nothing with SHARP, thin metal bristles, or with several close together). Then continue to towel dry, once again, lightly brushing them in between. This will prevent frizz, knots or a homely unsightly coat instead of the desired smooth n silky coat of a polished Maltese.
After soaking up as much water as you can, it’s safe to begin blow drying using the LOWEST HEAT SETTING or cool if such setting is unavailable. Gently brush in downward strokes with the direction of the fur while continuously moving the dryer around, keeping it a reasonable safe distance from their sensitive skin (est. 8-12 inches).
are you using a normal buzzer that would be used on people or is it dog specific ?
I really appreciate this video. My 9lb poodle HATES the grooming process and I have to clip a little here and there. If he would just relax and trust that it won’ t hurt, my life would be easier. The right equipment is so important too. Thanks sweet lady!
Great video! Thank you!!
