omg we have the exact same diagnoses and I’m going through the process of getting an emotional support animal as well. it’s really rough because i have to share a bathroom with other people and they’re refusing to share a space with a cat. so i don’t know what to do.

What a beautiful name for your cat, my mom gifted me a cat for my 26 birthday without even trying she named her , she died suddenly last year and through grief my cat keeps me going like you said knowing she’s depending on me keeps me going
My physiologist just wrote me something for my ESA cat so I can bring him with me this fall. So this is really helpful. I’m harness training him and he alerts to my anxiety attacks. My therapist is worked with me and my physiologist so I can get the paperwork. This video literally calmed my frayed nerves about my dealings with the university’s Ada facilities.

hi! I’m a freshman at SAIC and I’m currently looking into adopting a cat as a ESA and bringing it to live with me in the dorm. Do you have any recommendations for animal hospitals in the area?
I unfortunately just lost my cat, Pepper, of eight years. I’m heading off to college in August and my therapist and I talked about getting a service dog for my PTSD, BPD, Anxiety disorder and among other psych issues. But I’m allergic to dogs and we would’ve gone the self-training route. So I’m currently looking for a kitten or a cat to adopt and bring to college with me as an ESA. The hard thing is I can’t work on any of the ESA paperwork without having the actual cat with me. I’m also bringing my fish tank since my parents do NOT know how to care for my fish. I’m really grateful for this video, it’s super helpful for me. Thank you!!
hi, your cat is adorable. i’ve had my cat for over 1 year and i’ve been trying to get her registered as an esa. i got her during my worst depressive episode and she honestly saved my life but my therapist said she isn’t allowed to write anything to make her an esa so i don’t know how to go about it. if you have any information that could help me it would be greatly appreciated 🙂
