    Whenever my cat is asleep i either dont mess with it or scratch it behind the ears, he wakes up looks at me, and then decides this is an acceptable alternative to sleep

    As a vet Cats need to be talked to ALOT if you are new to them especially true..always talk to cat and they will warm up to you.
