How to Save Money on a Service Dog (You Might Get One Free!)

If you’re wondering how to save money on a service dog (or maybe hoping that you can figure out how to get a free service dog), then we have answers for you!

Since service dogs usually cost $20,000 to $60,000, it can be impossible for a low income disabled person to get the service animal that they need. That’s why we spent time researching this for you.

We’ve found several agencies that provide free service dogs, and others that can help you save money. If you are disabled and need a service animal, then you need to watch this video!

Do u know of any ways or places that may help train a dog that u have already and would like them to be ur service dog and think they would be good for that but just need the proper training. I know that can be awfully expensive also but any help as to where I could look for that would of great help. I’m in northern Wisconsin. I am a severe diabetic and would really like to get my Labrador retriever to be my service dog. She seems to have some good instincts with me. For me it would be super helpful I think. I wanted to do this for awhile now but don’t know where to go or who to talk to and I know it’s going to cost a lot so any help would be appreciated. Thank u

I saw this video and thought how wonderful! I’ve been trying to help my disabled friend get a service dog. It’s been a nightmare to say the least. Of course I researched further. The problem is her income is provided by SSI. Any money she raises or is raised on her behalf is counted as income and held against her. Raising just $10 would cost her an entire years income plus all other gov’t benefits she relies on. Just bringing this up as a heads up for anyone else in the same predicament.
