If you’re a landlord or a tenant looking into assistance animals in a rental unit you want to make sure you’re aware of your legal rights in your state.
If you’re a landlord and the tenant has a letter from a Doctor, make sure you never ask for a pet deposit with an assistance animal or emotional support animal. It’s a disability and you can’t increase rent or ask for a pet security deposit.
