After the fix were you able to adjust the sights back down or are they still maxed out?

  2. MontanaMountainMen on October 27, 2019 at 5:39 am

Nice to hear they got if fixed. Never heard of such a thing , basically they turned the barrel or replaced the barrel it seems, for by turning it to much the sights would be off set.

  4. Tristan Hanson on October 27, 2019 at 5:45 am

    Love that gun

  5. ARC on October 27, 2019 at 5:45 am

I sent mine back twice because the front sight was canted left and the rear sight was broken out the box

All they did was put on a new rear sight – sent it back to fix that rear sight

This is gonna suck for them since I’ll a pew salesman and will let everyone know

Good video. But…. from what I understand, Marlin quality control went down hill AFTER Remington bought them. I’m soooo glad my stainless 1895G gun works flawlessly. I will say however, shooting 309 grain bullets and the gun doesn’t like it. Shooting 405gr bullets and the gun can shoot the wings off a fly. Every gun has ammo it like and doesn’t like.

  14. ThunderMountain Tactical on October 27, 2019 at 5:54 am

    Sweet!

  15. Addicted 2 Tone on October 27, 2019 at 5:55 am

I’m wanting one of these bad but I don’t know if I should take the chance? This barrel indexing thing seems to be a common QC issue on these.. I wanna add a 45-70 to my collection though.. I’m on the fence about Henry and that tube magazine.

  16. Joe2A America on October 27, 2019 at 5:55 am

Marlin, is owned by Remington? that explains why ive had my share of problems with the newer Marlins. Remington is junk now. Remington used to be a great company, and the older Remy’s are fantastic, but the new ones are garbage. Great video.

    Marlin makes a Great rifle…Period !

  19. Two wheeling Nut on October 27, 2019 at 6:00 am

Good to see Marlin taking care of their customers. I hope the Remington and Marlin somehow turn things around. Good stuff.

I have the 1894C in .357 magnum, I had to loctite the front sight post after the first few shots. It’s done fine with Remington UMC JSP, had an issue chambering Federal Field and Range and anything Blazer.

  21. GRAND Trou Du Culte d' ORIENT on October 27, 2019 at 6:02 am

    Hello every boody !
I am sorry but i speak américa very a little !
This marlin is good or not good ?
    Thanks !

  22. Buckeye Codger on October 27, 2019 at 6:04 am

Glad to uear you were able to resolve the issue with Remington/Marlin. I’ve always liked the .45-70 Guide gun but can’t justify buying one because I don’t hunt anymore. Plus, if I’m going to buy something I can’t justiy it’ll likely be a 10mm 1911. LOL. Any updates on the Sig Sauer P320? Thanks for sharing.

  23. KSGunGuy on October 27, 2019 at 6:05 am

OMG, the definition reading is absolutely perfect! Haha! That’s awesome!

  24. Greg b on October 27, 2019 at 6:05 am

Lol when you wear you’re ammo belt around your neck you don’t even need a gun

  25. Peck's 2A America on October 27, 2019 at 6:07 am

Good lookin rifle . I’m glad they made it right with you .

  26. Drew Tatum on October 27, 2019 at 6:08 am

You have to be the most American person I’ve seen today.

  27. Skeletor 1984 on October 27, 2019 at 6:09 am

“Is that good?” No. The answer is no.

  28. Tikka Fan on October 27, 2019 at 6:12 am

All three of my new Marlin lever guns are top notch right out of the box.

  29. Jared Odom on October 27, 2019 at 6:16 am

Only problem with mine is the lever is very rough and gritty

  30. Armed ASMR on October 27, 2019 at 6:17 am

This is funny and informative! Love it

  31. Stanlee kmiecik on October 27, 2019 at 6:18 am

    Nice video

  32. xXRambodianXx on October 27, 2019 at 6:19 am

Can’t believe people still buy them. They’re so badly made it amazes me.

  33. WHO_TEE_WHO on October 27, 2019 at 6:20 am

I bought the exact same gun. I got it 50% off clearance at walmart and got the rebate. Got that baby for $250! Mine would not load a round. Sent it back under warranty and now it shoots great

  34. Terry Brown on October 27, 2019 at 6:21 am

I bought my 1895 guild gun 18 years ago. And "Ol Thumper" will put a burse on you. mine is still working like a champ. Mine shot fine right out of the box. I put an XO Ghost Sight on mine years ago and love it.
If you get a good one it should last until your son passes it along.

  35. The Casual Citizen on October 27, 2019 at 6:26 am

The moral of the story is that Marlin no longer exists. The company is now RemLin and they have no quality compared to what the old "real" Marlins had. I have four "real" Marlins and love them. I own a 444 Marlin, a 30-30, a 35 Remington, and a 22, all made before Remington essentially bought the name and risregarded everything about building a quality rifle.

  36. Patrick Kohls on October 27, 2019 at 6:26 am

When I was looking for a 4570…I was looking at a marlin….then the guy that was running the store ..push me to the Henry….I put them aside by side,,, there was no comparison between the two,,,I bought the Henry….. and the 4570 is 1 hard hitter… nice video….

  37. Ethan Walters on October 27, 2019 at 6:28 am

At my local gun shop I bought the 1895G for 399 plus tax! I went in thinking I would spend 600 and I almost shit myself when I saw that price. Amazing gun as well.

  38. Scuba Mike on October 27, 2019 at 6:29 am

I’m into that gun, and the 45-75; but the only way I could shoot it is if I reloaded the ammo. I don’t think the cost would be that bad 35 cents a round ish… liked

  39. Van Parker on October 27, 2019 at 6:29 am

My 1895SBL is on its second trip back to Marlin. My rifle came with the front sight canted to the right. My yellow paper also said the barrel was indexed to correct the front sight alignment. Whoever is putting the barrels on the 1895’s at the factory must be blind as a bat. The same guy must be in charge of repairs.

  40. GA gunshooting on October 27, 2019 at 6:29 am

Very nice rifle glad they were able to index that barrel for you.

  41. Joe P on October 27, 2019 at 6:30 am

great update, thanks so much… I bought mine about the same you did, and just love it!

  42. Brian A Heise, MD on October 27, 2019 at 6:31 am

  44. Jerry G on October 27, 2019 at 6:33 am

  45. Isaac Walton on October 27, 2019 at 6:34 am

I think i have the same problem, i got a marlin 1895g 18.5 barrel. Im shooting win 300 grain core lok at 73 yards with the sights all the way up. I thought marlin had there act together.
