Mini-horses are this man's service animal of choice

Larry Mark Guthrie owns and operates a mini horse ranch in Pine, Colorado, but these aren’t your typical pet mini horses (if there is such a thing). They go by Chunky Monkey, Fancy Dancer, Glitter Blue (or sometimes Glitter Bug) and Patty Cake.

Lisa is correct. I have a miniature horse service animal as well. Dogs and miniature horses are the only two animals protected under the federal law. Any other animal isn’t protected and businesses can rightfully refuse their entry if they choose to do so whereas if they refuse a miniature horse or a dog they are subject to discrimination law violation.

I thought mini horse was the next popular choice for service animal after dog. It’s cats that are unusual because they’re difficult to train.

How does he train transfer them with his health? If they are that good sad you keep them all to yourself verse helping others and do training transfer like. I heard they live 30 years so like idea that. But concerns here are I would think way to much health risk also them liveing in barn more dirty their paws. As their spouse be kept clean going out I thought

My family also have a service mini who helps a disabled individual with mobility. We wash him very often, since we live in a very city/urban place. My mini loves his job. I love to watch other videos about service minis because it makes my family not feel alone.

yes, but … why can not people groom their service animals… please people, a curry and a dandy.. they go in public ..

  19. AtarahDerek on December 15, 2019 at 10:47 am

While his animals DO qualify as service animals, he needs to brush up on ADA law. Only dogs and miniature horses can be considered service animals. That he doesn’t know this tells me he may not know how to adequately defend his rights if someone challenges him for using a pony as medical adaptive equipment.

  26. Nappa Bond on December 15, 2019 at 11:00 am

People take issue with miniature horse service animals? Why? Mini horses are intelligent af, and besides how the hell does it affect you as to what animal is a service animal? People like that are just idiots, scientific fact.

I would love to make my mini a service pony. I have some specific anxiety problems along with random drops in blood pressure, both of which can cause fainting. How do I go about making her a service horse?
