Jumping and air walking off the machine is super dangerous and doesn’t get pick done faster I used to do that but you easily run yourself over also I can pick 10 time faster than this person for fun
Sysco and US foods definitely have the highest standards when it comes to numbers I selected for 10 years . But hey much rather use the voice system rather than the tag system which Sysco uses
Whoever He is Working for they Need to Give him a RAISE $$$$ This Man Work his Butt Off And Efficient and Fast And Clean and Safely Good Job He Operates like a PROFESSIONAL
My only problem with this job is the pace/ percentage needed to keep the job. Maintaining a 90% when you get absolutely swamped by big ordered back to back is seriously taxing. I feel like if they simply added 10 minutes to most of the bigger orders, the stress would go down for everyone involved
Legit in my first 4 months working I’ve heard so many “vets” complain about the standard just cause it’s almost no room for mistakes.
You can’t adjust anything on your pallet or god forbid you’re in a crowded isle, cause then you’re loosing percentages by the second.
Must be great being able to select without 4-6 people all in the same lane as you. It’s a pain in the ass when you’re on a strict time limit but you can’t hit your percentage cause the lanes are clogged up.
I’m a material handler and inventory control. That’s beside the job of offloading for another department while I’m pulling orders for outbound and feeding a doorshop for daily production. Oh and I receive and stock. Thats six jobs at once without a person doing the labor. This video is not fast paced at all.
I’ve had 4-5 warehouse jobs, two of those were voice picking. I swear to god, I fucking hated the voice picking, you were a robot ..answering to a robot. That was the worst. All I want is to be on my feet and scanning manually. So mind-numbing saying "one front" "two back", "ready", "skip location"..
Got to the point I’d retrain "Skip Aisle?" to "Go fuck yourself". Got a bit awkward when I had to train people..
I start orientation tomorrow and wow Im just ready to get that money and work but thus is gonna have me being active which is a good thing im more focused when im active
Which distributor is this?

Why the headset ? Usually they give you a paper work order/picklist or a Rf gun.

I do not miss those days wrapping on out pallets up. We have paletizers for that. Work for Martin Brower. We r on carts
This is modern day slavery, and I know cuz I’ve worked at a few different warehouses. Depressing job.
I did it for years… It is a noble job… takes a lot of motivation and tolerance. Not for everyone. Much respect to you…
