this is one of the reason why I stopped eating meat, bc not even for humans we can be sure of what goes in.

@doctordoolittle2800 truth. "Number 1 vet recommended Science Diet" is the brand your vet will tell you because they are paid in so many different ways to tell you that.

This is nothing! watch the video I am sharing on commercial pet food on my channel…
Commercial pet food contains "rendered meat" look that up too…

  12. nadiya1is1here on May 24, 2022 at 12:45 am

    @kimhunter2 hmm ok

  13. Snowboarding85 on May 24, 2022 at 12:46 am

DO NOT work out your pet’s diet plan w/ your Vet.
They usually push those exact tainted foods because they benefit from the sale… regardless whether they know it or not.

  14. RubyShoes187 on May 24, 2022 at 12:46 am

Pet food is disgusting, Prey Model Raw ftw!

  15. Anita Dahya on May 24, 2022 at 12:47 am

How can you say dry food is the best , compared to can food . You do have to read the ingredients of course, but just imagine eating dry food the rest of your life , how would you like it eating dry food all your life?

  16. saerangkim on May 24, 2022 at 12:47 am

your veterinarian may not always give the best dietary advice. i would advise doing your own research and coming to your own conclusions and judgment.

  17. SPIRITNDLIFE on May 24, 2022 at 12:48 am

@redbutterflyz I feed my dog homemade dog food like 70% meat, egg with shells all grinded up little bit of rice and some heart and gizzard a bit of olive oil and liver once a week. Is that good? I quit kibble, my Shih Tzu Gizmo wouldn’t touch the stuff. Now he seems happy. What u think?

  18. nadiya1is1here on May 24, 2022 at 12:49 am

@gongoozler18 and iams, one of the worst. the labs have extreme animal abuse:(

  19. ginger wolfe on May 24, 2022 at 12:49 am

i just wanted to say that if your pet was a wild animal it has an average life span for 4 to five years. animals live a lot longer as pets you you have to watch what you feed.

  20. MeJaneEntrprsz on May 24, 2022 at 12:50 am

Here’s the weird thing about this video. Many of the ingredients they mention from the carcass of the animals is safe & they’d gladly eat them in the wild. But the ingredients in the pet food is from euthanized animals & is not human grade FDA approved. It is from sick, diseased farm animals, road kill, & euthanized pets from vets & the pound. We are a recycle reuse country. If ppl knew that their neighbors dog who died from cancer & had been given chemo then euthanized to end its suffering then went to a rendering plant to become a protein by product that is chemically compounded to become an ingredient in pet foods which is what actually happens, they’d think twice about feeding any commercial pet foods. It’s just fast food/soylent green for pets & was not created as long term sustenance for animal nutrition. Was invented for men to take dogs to the battle field. Prior we fed scraps from left over butchers of animals on farms. It was not tainted or processed. Pay now on human grade food or pay later when your pets are sick & dying from the diet they didn’t chose.

  21. RK831 on May 24, 2022 at 12:52 am

How can anybody possibly escape by-products? Even if you feed your pets raw beef purchased from the supermarket, those slaughtered cattle grew up on cattle feed, which invariably is enriched with protein meal, which are by-products from rendering plants.

    LOL

  23. ladamadelcaribe on May 24, 2022 at 12:55 am

@MelissaMagnificent no, i dont think you should switch to vegetables specially with a cat who is a true carnivore. you can cook their own food.

  24. cleosea on May 24, 2022 at 12:55 am

animals have been bred for hundreds of years to be domestic, they still have wild instincts but that doesn’t mean you can just start feeding them raw meet. It can actually make them sick if they are not used to it. Also, vegetables are just an empty filler, they don’t have the calories your dog needs. My dog is a domestic pet, he would die if he was alone in the wild, and hes very happy being pampered and treated as such.

  25. Maliraptor2009 on May 24, 2022 at 12:56 am

Wants a healthy natural dog..feed RAW. Cats dont thrive on dry food, they dont need carbs..cats do best on canned food. Dogs do not need carbs period…they need RAW meat..not veggies.

  26. Eric Isaac on May 24, 2022 at 12:57 am

She wants the government to regulate it more?  How about reading the label, or making your dog food yourself?  If you don’t know what it is, don’t feed it to your dog.  Everyone’s answer is more government…  Grow up already.

  27. Maria Kuljanic on May 24, 2022 at 12:58 am

I don’t read dog food labels. I don’t buy any Brands. Pet food is "fake" industrial food invented by man. Carnivore nutrition is "real" food. Dogs and Cats were never designed to eat processed food with preservatives, chemicals, flavors, palatability enhancers…invented by man. Have you been "Pet Fooled"? Watch the documentary "Pet Fooled" releases January 2017.

  28. Melanie Elmore on May 24, 2022 at 1:01 am

This is EXACTLY why I switched ot Raw.

  29. Brian on May 24, 2022 at 1:03 am

I read the label on my pets food (I use blue buffalo) in my opinion i think it’s the best food for both cats and dogs

  30. niunka1 on May 24, 2022 at 1:03 am

    hcvang,

"skins, fat, beaks, feed, genitals, brains, bone meal, egg shells from the hatcheries, eyes, "…….

exactly like in McDonald’s happy meal !!! 🙂

  31. Steve s on May 24, 2022 at 1:04 am

Go to your local butcher and can purchase kidneys livers lungs spleens etc. All very nutritious for your animal. Cube them and cook and mix into dry food

  32. Trudy on May 24, 2022 at 1:04 am

any purina pet food including beneful is garbage. meat by products on the label means food from a rendering factory

  33. ladamadelcaribe on May 24, 2022 at 1:05 am

@chadpopstar what do you feed your dog?

  34. godsfiddler on May 24, 2022 at 1:06 am

@RK831 Most raw feeders feed organic meats.

  35. doctordoolittle2800 on May 24, 2022 at 1:09 am

The last comment by Debbye – "talk to your vet" is the worst advice. The entire veterinarian industry has been bought and paid for by pet food manufacturers. Vet schools, grants and scholarships are all paid for by pet food makers. Don’t ask a vet. All you’ll get is buy this product…

  36. quicklady on May 24, 2022 at 1:10 am

my dog will only eat taco bell

  37. Damascus Aleatico on May 24, 2022 at 1:11 am

guess what – if your pet was wild animal what would it eat – everything that goes into that pot that they cook up – oh yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. godsfiddler on May 24, 2022 at 1:11 am

@cleosea Which is why you have to properly introduce raw. There is a way to do it. It’s really easy to feed raw once you’ve done research.

  39. saerangkim on May 24, 2022 at 1:13 am

stay away from grain all together

  40. Rachel T on May 24, 2022 at 1:14 am

oh so i guess that a part of all food now poison says the person who fed the dogs pedigree and nearly lost her 1 year old 3,500 dollar dog yorkie terrier in case any one doesnt know so all foods must come with poison now or is it normal for your young dog to poop blood after eating pedigree for 6 months

  41. Maria Kuljanic on May 24, 2022 at 1:16 am

Isn’t it funny to watch how the Vet Industry works very hard for the Pet Food Manufacturers! Vets report directly to their pay-masters who are (1) Big Feed & (2) Big Pharma. I would NEVER ask a Vet for any nutritional advice. Vets ONLY learn about PET FOOD NUTRITION taught by Manufacturers. Pets need CARNIVORE NUTRITION advice.

  42. charles schnell on May 24, 2022 at 1:18 am

I used to haul dog food out of Nevada to California. Horse Meat.

  43. chechnya on May 24, 2022 at 1:21 am

But dogs aren’t wild animals. Most don’t get the exercise needed.

  44. Jenniferladybug on May 24, 2022 at 1:23 am

    @MelissaMagnificent

cook food for your pet. We put chicken breast, peas, carrots, and rice all in a big pot and boil it until the rice is done.

  45. Mattman91c on May 24, 2022 at 1:24 am

hell nothing wrong with pet food. my dog is 14 years old and he still runs, jump, fetches and plays like he was a pup and I feed him the cheap stuff. Oh and I can she that weird chick being a crazy ass cat lady.

  46. Trudy on May 24, 2022 at 1:26 am

friskies can cat food makes my cats sick and I have found carpet fibers in two cans. so now i make my own cat food. its alot of work but atleast i know they are not eating carpet.

  47. DVDPlus on May 24, 2022 at 1:26 am

That why I give my cats also leftovers of my meat and chicken meals, it’s better than cat’s dry or moist food.

  48. Tatooinedragracer on May 24, 2022 at 1:29 am

She said she wants the government to regulate the pet food industry. That will never happen. The government allows it, so no one should turn to the government to regulate it. As long as the government gets their share of the profit, they are going let pet food companies continue doing business as usual. Pet owners need to be self-reliant and get educated about the CORRECT diet for dogs and cats. Cooked anything is wrong, Simple as that.

  49. Tatooinedragracer on May 24, 2022 at 1:30 am

Heather Lyons and all other pet owners should simply stop feeding their pets anything cooked or in a can. The ads for pet foods are misleading and the propaganda from veterinarians and pet food companies tell people to feed commerical pet food. Pets need, must have, and are designed to eat a raw diet. Heather Lyons should find recipes for raw cat diets or buy a diet that is raw with ingredients she can read and understand and recognize just by looking at it.

  50. Edna Wong on May 24, 2022 at 1:31 am

This is Edna with Nutro. I find this video informative, yet it’s very generalized. This report did not mention that Menu Foods manufactured a certain type of canned food (chunked with gravy) for many pet food companies, instead of implying the recall affected both canned and dry foods.
