This is poppycock. Their services are terrible. My animals were victims of terrible negligence from Johannesburg to Schipol.
Advertising picking up animals at cargo, is ridiculous! There’s no other way to take them to the aircraft. In Johannesburg KLM assured me they used the local pet hotel prior to boarding. LI ÉS! I found my cats frightened and stressed at the cargo dept. surrounded by
noise of forklifts. Because of failure to inspect my cats at Schipol they were forced to remain 24h shut in their boxes as a consequence of both the Veterinary officials and KLM. They refused to pay a modest amount for reparation and became abusive, lying and ignoring me because I’m a woman and Portuguese. I escalated all the way to the Ombudsman and found a wall of silence and contempt for what we all went through. I had to stay 19h at the airport. My sweet Carmine was so stressed and traumatized that 7 weeks later
had a massive stroke. We tried everything to save him but he died a few weeks later. If you love your animals don’t ignore this warning. The Dutch have special contempt for people of the South. Their history of discrimination, contempt and unaccountability is everywhere they went to. BA, TAP are excellent. KLM low cost brings huge costs to unsuspecting people who entrust their beloved animals to these scumbags. By the way the pet hotel in Johannesburg told me KLM was one of the very few airlines that DID NOT use the hotel. Their lies are notorious. Deanna Bollo

It said Cat’s and Dog’s on one sign?

Isn’t it Cats and Dogs? Otherwise, it’d be Cat is and Dog is.

Lola, Im about to travel with my doggie, and Im quite nervous about the EU inspection (he has everything in order, vaccines, chip, only the health cert 10 days before flying). How was it for you entering the EU from manila? Did they check your doggie with you present or not? If you had a connecting flight in Amsterdam, how many hours did you need for them to check the pooch? (any info/advcie would help please! I really want it to be smooth for my dog!)

This video comes from some museum? That music, and those enormous CRT computer screens with MS-DOS on it. Lol.

Just a big thank you to all concerned for the loving care Chippy and Smudge received from all concerned with their journey to Manila. They were relaxed and very happy when they arrived. Thanks a million for looking after my doggies so well. Mrs Lola Lion Cachet from Kempton Park South Africa

My 16-hour journey required me to pay an additional 150 euros/200 CAD for my cat to go to a pet ‘hotel’ during a 2.5 layover in AMS. KLM’s website says, "we’ll give it something to eat and drink, dogs will be walked and cats will get a fresh litter box". LIES!!! I tightly secured a deep bowl of water to her cage and put a simple tie around the cage and the door for safety. When I saw her at our final destination, the simple tie was untouched, she was tossed and turned so much that every drop of water was gone and the bowl was dry, she was given zero food, and she peed multiple times in the cage. She magically landed with health problems which required many vet visits despite having a full vet check before departure.

Thanks KLM for charging me and literally treating my 12-year old friend like an inanimate piece of luggage.
