The guy should’ve screeched that they’re within six feet. Can’t argue with COVID

  2. teegan chalmers on March 11, 2023 at 5:16 am

The first guy with Sadie I would probably push the lady down to because I have a service dog and he’s in training and if anyone would come up and say can I put your dog and keep on asking I would say no and walk away

  3. islandicedragon on March 11, 2023 at 5:16 am

Karens never believe their in the wrong and this OP did the right thing calling for the cops after they tried to ‘pet’ the dog, then made up a fake story. For the 2nd story Karen probably wanted to get a pay day from the parent’s to pay off her car. For the Subway story how long has it been since she went there if they closed over a year ago and to think that another business wouldn’t give you what the previous business sold

  4. ʙᴇxᴢʟ_! on March 11, 2023 at 5:16 am

It’s also illegal to mess with, touch, or hurt a service animal

Service Dogs are MEDICAL EQUIPMENT as a service dog handler my self you should not even ask a person with a service dog “can I pet” if it has a vest on. It is illegal to distract a service dog like petting a service dog because it is interfering with medical equipment, do you know how many people I have had to sue because they pet my service dog without pension which caused my service dog to miss a alert and ended up with me going to the emergency room.

  8. Brendapaws on March 11, 2023 at 5:18 am

Never pet a service dog. It puts the handler in danger.

So buy a cheaper car, you’ll have thousands to spend on food. Oh wait, you ran a red light and wrecked it. Well, oopie.

*KAREN GRABBING…SOMEBODY IN ANOTHER STORY SAID THEY LET OUT THEIR HOWLER MONKEY*

  14. a man of many parts on March 11, 2023 at 5:23 am

Years ago my BIL had his car damaged when a woman ran a red light and bounced off a small van before hitting his car. When asked "Didn’t you see the red light?" she responded with "What lights?" as a cop approached them from behind and in earshot. Later she sued for the damages to her (husband’s) car plus hire car costs! Unfortunately his insurance appointed and paid for lawyer messed up so badly that he later lost his licence. In the meantime my BIL ‘failed to appear’ due to not being aware of the court date, and lost. As luck would have it I was able to advise him on a course of action that made a Magistrate reverse the judgement and he only had to pay the excess on his policy to have his car back in working order again. They even covered the cost of an hire car while it was being repaired.

Even Karen should know that you don’t pet a service dog without permission.

  16. Roxanne washington on March 11, 2023 at 5:27 am

If people want to interact with dogs, it is better to adopt and/or volunteer at a shelter for dogs who need love and attention. A service dog is very necessary medical equipment for people who need help with every day life struggling with disabilities. It is illegal to distract service dogs from their jobs of protecting their owners. By distracting the dogs, they miss cues of alerting owners of what is happening. It is people’s fault by distracting service dogs. The owners are right to react to the way they do because they know that their lives are at risk. Until people understand and experience what people go through and experience what life is like having a service dog, they will not understand what people with service dogs go through. Josie

  17. Adam Guymon on March 11, 2023 at 5:29 am

In the first story, I wish that the ADA had a law that would mean that if the lady who was doing this to you and your SD even know she left the store just for having her on camera they could still charge her for "interfering" with a SD team. For the fact that her kid disconnected the leash from a working SD which she or her kid had no idea because it’s not a good idea to touch a strange dog? Technically it is classified as "ASSAULT" to touch a person’s SD without their permission. A real SD is not considered as a pet but is classified as a piece of medical equipment and thus is "PROPERTY". The women legally are responsible for her minor kid’s actions and should have been the one that should have controlled the situation before her kid ever had a chance to the SD?

To stop bullies from hurting businesses with bad reviews, don’t read reviews!

  21. Calina's Agility Partner on March 11, 2023 at 5:34 am

I was in a store with my service dog. Calina was behind me and I felt her pulling a little. I turn around and see a 15 year old girl coming toward us and starts to bend down to pet my dog. I told the girl that my dog is a service dog and is working and can’t greet. She said, "I just want to pet the dog!" I repeated that my dog was working and the girl couldn’t pet her. She went off! A real Karen type tantrum! I was speechless for a moment. Then Calina started alerting, so I walked away. About 10 minutes later, I walked passed the girl, and she was still bitching about how she wanted to pet my dog. People need to understand 1. You need to ask before petting a dog. 2. Little dogs can be service dogs 3. It is a crime to interfere with a service dog.

    Regarding Story #2:
The epiphany of the "american dream".
"Officer that old woman just broke my hand with her face. Arrest her!"
Yes you are dirt poor. Yes you barely can survive with 3 jobs. But someday you might be lucky and break a leg on the property of some wealthy asshat. (And not get fatally shot for it)

Bruh on time my boss told all the employees to go online and leave a 5 star review using the keywords "quick service" and "very clean" both of which were lies. Reviews sites are fucking broken on both ends, they have no valid info on them.

I also suffer from verbal abuse dealt to me by narcissistic mother, and I went through a very dark period once I began to realize how I was being treated. It helps me a lot to hear other Redditors’ stories with narcissistic abuse, especially the ones where they escape/overcome the abuse.

  38. WolfHerzen on March 11, 2023 at 6:02 am

I don’t know why people have to pet your dog. My Emotional Support Animal vest said do not pet and the reason is because she is my medication ESA shouldn’t be petted just like SD = service dogs there medical equipment it not like strangers coming up to say hey let me take your meds or let me touch your wheelchair there both a big NO NO

  39. Kyara Arsida on March 11, 2023 at 6:04 am

My daughter has seen service dogs and, since I had to rehome our dog (abusive past and never learned to relax around men) she gets so excited when she sees them and wants to pet. I’ll sometimes ask the owner, should theh appear amenable, if the dog is able to take a break from work, and we often get a yes, but if they say no, I tell my daughter that the puppy is working and we’ll go play with her Uncle’s dog at Grandma and Grandpa’s after shopping.

There should be a law implemented. If a Karen is refusing to leave or being entitled, you can immediately yell at her and call security to escort her out or arrest her simply because shes being a bitch.

  43. mrdrakeye on March 11, 2023 at 6:06 am

Texas courts apply the same rules to private citizens as they do law enforcement. … A private citizen may make an arrest if an offense is committed in his “presence or within his view”

  44. Norm Rayos on March 11, 2023 at 6:09 am

“I mean heck even someone rolling absolute balls at a rave usually asks before they hug you or something!”

And that’s why I love raves. Maybe Karen should try a little MDMA and see if it makes her into a real person!

  45. Kelly Ramsey on March 11, 2023 at 6:09 am

It’s against the law to mess with a service dog, you can get a fine and jail time, plus a big fat lawsuit!

The story about the car crash was actually really encouraging for me. I have high-functioning Autism and driving makes me extremely nervous. I also only have a permit, and when practicing to test for said permit, I had a panic attack and totalled the car I was driving.

But it’s encouraging to hear about someone else with Autism who got into a wreck and was helped by the cops to calm down, plus the person who hit them was held responsible for hitting them.
