I feed my cavalier King Charles: Fromm gold weight control kibble plus I boil boneless skinless chicken breasts to include in each meal. Is that okay? Just would like your opinion. Thank you

  2. Bryn Buchanan on July 31, 2022 at 5:32 am

I feed my five-month old Australian Shepard/Poodle mix Carna4 and Bones & Co. I also add berries and/or veggies, organic fish oil, Green JuJu treats, and Bones & Co Goat’s Milk. She seems to be doing good on it and she likes it. Thanks for all your help! Learned about Bones & Co and Carna4 from you, Rachel. Thank you!!!

Board certified canine nutritionists (DACVNs) disagree with you. I’d be curious to see what you’d have to say in regards to the teachings of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition. Since your degree is in human nutrition and not canine.

  4. Sonny D on July 31, 2022 at 5:34 am

If I had to feed my dog kibble, it would definitely be Bixbi. The best dry kibble you can buy due to their ingredients and cooking process.

  5. Anna Galati on July 31, 2022 at 5:35 am

We switched our puppy from IAMS small breed puppy to Freshpet Vital Puppy and she now eats all her food eagerly and with gusto. After her 2nd vaccine set she started to not like her kibble and barley ate no matter what we added. . Only problem is portion size. Package says to feed 1 pound a day for a 5 pound dog. Mine is almost 4 pounds. No way can she consume 1 pound a day. How much to feed???? I started with 50gr 4 times a day and that equals a little over 1/2 pound which is 225gr. She is still looking for more. Should I be increasing her portions? She is 16 weeks old.

I’ve tried giving all kind of frozen food like big raw country but it seems to be too acidic for him and his poop is very dry. I started cooking his food and seems to digest better should I continue cooking his food?

  9. Bobbie S on July 31, 2022 at 5:41 am

What do you think about I and Love and You dehydrated raw dog food?

  10. Fantasy ファンタジー on July 31, 2022 at 5:43 am

Guys dogs are facultative carnivores which can mimic an omnivorous diet which is why they are incorrectly classified as omnivores but they are not truly omnivorous.

  11. Alan Joslin on July 31, 2022 at 5:44 am

My black lab prefers wild boar. I feed her pure balance wild and free . I looked and China factory. Amazon sites Call of Wild Dimond Foods etc. Recommend for the dogs. ( I have a stroke aphasia. Sorry )

Can you please review Diamond Natural Chicken and Rice. We picked up our puppy two weeks ago and that is what the breeder was feeding him so I bought the puppy version. It looks good but I’m no expert. Our little guy is a havanese puppy and I want to make sure I give him the best! Thank you so much! Your videos are so helpful!!!

    Natural balance

  15. T Cr on July 31, 2022 at 5:47 am

The word is "oxidize", not "oxidate". there is no biological difference between manufactured vitamins and extracted ones. Virtually all plants used as food today are GMO, starting with the Green Revolution in wheat which saved the world’s poorest from starvation. Need to mention, too, that large breed puppies should not eat a high protein diet as it can cause bone fractures and hip issues in adult hood. As mentioned below, too, dogs are not carnivores, but are omnivores, and eat plant/grain sources freely in the wild. Much of this video ought to be rescripted to be more factual and scientific.

  16. Sheena Padilla on July 31, 2022 at 5:47 am

The Raw Dog Food Company based out of commerce city, co. Can you reviewed them possibly?

Do you have any knowledge between the link of dog foods and pet seizures maybe? We have a chocolate lab who was recently diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy- trying to find methods to help. Meds got him down to two seizures a week and he’s absolutely great and normal between seizures now (he used to have multiple a day)

  23. Denise Hansen on July 31, 2022 at 5:59 am

  25. Kayla Monet on July 31, 2022 at 6:00 am

    Hi Rachel,

Could you review primal and Stella and chewy?

  26. R.D. on July 31, 2022 at 6:00 am

So many terrible companies out there now. Scary how our politicians just allow these companies to hurt people and animals.

  27. Burjud Dubowy on July 31, 2022 at 6:01 am

Rachel Ray kibble. Is it ok to use this, perhaps mixing it with dehydrated food? I often wet the dry kibble with low salt chicken stock.

  28. Leyda Mendez on July 31, 2022 at 6:01 am

Where is that pet food list? I follow the link and can’t find it.

  29. Budgeting to Freedom on July 31, 2022 at 6:03 am

  30. Jessica Wyatt on July 31, 2022 at 6:06 am

What do you think about Merrick or Wellness brand? I have a 5 month old puppy ally shih poo puppy. I’ve tried several puppy kibble food and she doesn’t like any brand I select.

  31. christina pruitt on July 31, 2022 at 6:10 am

What do you think of Badlands Ranch superfood complete, thank you

  32. Ray Higley on July 31, 2022 at 6:11 am

As far as kibble, almost all cheaper brands include sodium selenite and copper sulfate which can build up and be fatal to dogs. Never use any dog food with these addatives! Watch canned also.

  33. Katie Frazier on July 31, 2022 at 6:13 am

PLEASE talk about OC Raw! i got the brand from one of your old videos when i got my puppy a year ago and have been feeding her the pattys ever since. it was already an old video then so i’d love an update on your opinion now & other raw brands you recommend!

  34. Shannon Roach on July 31, 2022 at 6:16 am

I would be very interested in your review of Pure Balance dog food. It appears to be a brand Wal-mart makes that is trying to be on the healthier side of kibble.
    Love your videos. Thanks

  35. 89frisco on July 31, 2022 at 6:17 am

Could you please do a review of Essence kibble ? it’s a new high end brand from the same owners of Zignature.

  36. Dominique on July 31, 2022 at 6:18 am

The link still just takes me to an email sign up. When are you going to release?? I’m struggling to find a good food in my budget. I can’t feed raw it’s way out of budget. I’m feeding raw boost by Instinct.

  39. Laura M. on July 31, 2022 at 6:21 am

Hi Rachel. This has been a question of mine for a year now of owning our puppy! After studying Rodney’s work, Dr. Becker’s work and Norah Lenz’s book, my head is spinning as to what to feed Cassie! Could you review Rawz – both canned and dried, Orijen, Vital Essentials, Stella and Chewy’s, and Honest Kitchen compared to the RMF diet.
We both will thank you for it!!!

  40. Troi Lewis on July 31, 2022 at 6:23 am

Loved your video! I’d love for you to do a video on the best pre-made raw food brand…and the most cost effective raw brands? Thank you so much!

  41. Jacinta Simpson on July 31, 2022 at 6:24 am

If anyone has any ideas on what could help please say in the reply’s, thanks!
