"Register Your Service Dog" Scams

"Register Your Service Dog" Scams

This video was made to show how easy it is to falsely register ANYTHING (including inanimate objects) as service animals. Many of the “fake” SD’s you see are registered on these sights. And some legitimate SD handlers have fallen for them as well (I almost did). But this video’s intent, was mainly to just show how ridiculously pointless these registries and certifications are, and how they truly mean nothing.

Someone who knows what they are talking about ( not just a " because I say so" attitude ) please tell me why it is ONLY ok to call a dog a service animal if i pay a stranger to train him/her? Because I do it myself makes it less legit?. About the only problem with this is that if a dog is misbehaving in public. In that case then an owner has the right to ask you and your dog to leave… Problem solved!
People just cant stop until every single aspect of our lives is under control. Until we have laws that tell us how deep to breath and when to exhale. The sad thing is that we are all selling away our freedoms for what? Paper money!!! Pathetic!! Lets all try to live and let freaking live, how about that? To give the honor system a try. To trust and respect each others right to live how they want as long as they are not psychically hurting you. I am just so fed up with the world and how well everyone is suffocating each other. Sorry for the rant but I needed a vent.

Your saxxy is a great doggy, man the gov should do something about websites like these screening should be better

The place I stay at doesn’t allow dogs over 25 pounds (my dog is 30 pounds) my poor grandma tried to register my dog as a service dog because I have anxiety (should be an emotional support animal, not service) and it was completely a scam. I’m moving out to a rental that allows my dog, so that’s nice!

Scrolling through my feed and right under your video is another video giving information on how to do this. Shameful. Actually, I’m gonna report the video.

I had to pay 80$ to register my poodle I have epilepsy & the hotel I’m staying at won’t let me have him unless I have papers

sounds like these sites could also be taking your money and your information. Then they are making more money by selling your information to 3rd parties.

  8. Carla End on February 21, 2023 at 4:40 am

Just because the forms let you type false info doesn’t mean you should. The service is FREE and voluntary. You have knowingly provided false info, on a form that specifically identifies that the questions refer to LIVING ANIMALS. Doing so is probably against their TOS, which you didn’t read. Your video is a waste of time for those that follow your Vlog. You could have saved yourself some time by skipping the nonsense of long explanations and foolishness of filling in all those blanks, including the ones marked as OPTIONAL. No need to tell people that you can register anything, not just dogs.

I’m trying to find how I can train my yr old lab to be my service dog. I’m in a power wheelchair to go anywhere. I have a balance problem, neuropathy hands and feet, I’m always falling so Doctor told me he doesn’t want me to walk anymore because Everytime I fall I end up breaking a bone. Can you help me find a honest ADA that can help me with this.

I have a certified service dog who is a medical alert dog and I have a I’d card and certification patch and vest registered my dog with paws4life in apache junction az teddy bear is really real certified service dog by paws4life a non-profit organization he helps me with balance and retreating assistance

  17. Rebecca Moon on February 21, 2023 at 4:54 am

Do you think there should be an official, legal certification/registration process for service animals? On one hand, I think it would help with the problem of phony service animals, but on the other, I wouldn’t want genuine service animals to become less accessible to those who need them.

I hate seeing these normal people with their flea bags in human stores. If you’re blind fine, is cool, respect.
But regular people??? What it causes you anxiety to be without fluffy? Depression? Bunch of scammers are walking around with their uncontrollable, stinky, germ carrying, flea bag in supermarkets gets me fuming.

I’m a caregiver for developmentally disabled adults in Albany Oregon and I have #4 clients I care for and their service dog passed away and I am having a hard time getting her new doctor to write a updated note other than a note that says it’s a mental health issue instead of her original doctor and note that said it was for mental health and a falling disorder. I can use the old note from 2012 but the name is wrong and she made the mistake of covering it in tape in lieu of a professional looking laminating job. Now I am in a pinch because she’s got a new doctor and I sent him a message with a picture of the original "prescription" for a service dog that said it was for her "Anxiety, depression, and her falling disorder " so I’m not sure what to do to remedy this.
I can use the old authorization, but the ghetto tape job is clearly old and tattered and 10+years old and the new dog is 10wks old. So idk htf to remedy the situation.

I’m going to get a dog to train as an SD in a month. Is it ok to get one of the little ID cards from those scam websites to avoid access issues? My SD will be a legal one but is it illegal to get one of those fake ID to avoid problems?

  21. mauimastiff on February 21, 2023 at 5:04 am

In the uk they have to be registered with one of the service dog charity’s and normally are acquired through them to stop people just taking their pets and scams like this

    Service saxophone lol

  24. William O. on February 21, 2023 at 5:10 am

I agree with the content of the video.
Now, I have an ID tag that I got online (Holographic Service Dog ID), But I got it just for the idea that I was able to put my dog`s name, my name, picture of my dog, dog breed and my phone number. Other than that, I carry a letter from my doctor, that explains my health condition: I carry that letter at all times when I have my dog with me in public.
Getting the ID tag was my choice, it is only just in case my dog get separated from me in public….that`s all the ID is for

I was searching for a website to certify
my SDiT so I would know where to go after 2 years of training then realized it was fake this was like a week into training not now

  26. Cindy C. on February 21, 2023 at 5:10 am

Does the ADA require service animals to be professionally trained?

No. People with disabilities have the right to train the dog themselves and are not required to use a professional service dog training program.

some sites help with registering your dog so people don’t judge your disability. if you lie and your dog is reckless no one will believe you and you rights will no longer be valid to have a service dog.
so please stop scaring people that don’t have physical disabilities and need some paperwork to explain their rights to have a service animal.

I’m permanently disabled with back nerve damage down into my legs. My Jack Russell goes with me and helps me with task but I’ve not looked into having her as my service dog until one day in a Wal-Mart it was way to hot to leave her in the car. She minds very well and wasn’t bothering a soul when an employee set in on me. I can have a mean disposition and bluffed him back to his shelf stocking. Can my doctor simply write a prescription saying she is my service dog that helps me thru the day to keep me from getting in trouble. She helps in ways like when walking nature trails she will lead me around roots , rocks , n such. She is a big help in my life. Over the weekend a park ranger ran me away because I had her. He refused to listen about how she helps me. I showed him I disabled park pass but he was high on his uniform and every other words were "This is a lawful order you must obey". She helps me in a lot of ways to have a more active life. Or since I’ve been diagnosed as being permanently disabled do I need any paper work to use her as my service dog?

How do I register my German shepherd as a emotional support animal?

  29. Adam Guymon on February 21, 2023 at 5:12 am

I wonder if I could register my "Black Panther" or my Service wheelchair? A service dog is just like a piece of "Medical Equipment" that helps you and provides a form of "Access". When someone asks you for papers it’s like someone asking for you to "Prove" your "DISABILITY"? The minute that PWD has to prove and get papers it takes a person’s dignity away from them and just puts a PWD into a position where we just get "SEGREGATED"!
    Great Video, Thank You.

How do you get your dog legitimately registered? Is there a website or location?

  31. Mickey on February 21, 2023 at 5:14 am

Then if these sites are no good how do i go about register my dog, please.

  32. Mary Sue Burnett on February 21, 2023 at 5:16 am

I’ve read that sometimes that when people get service animals from organizations or charities that train them or train their own animals by enrolling them in such a course, they may get certificates to show that their animals came from such and such organization or charity or that their animals successfully completed the training course.
