Our trips home to Seattle always involve a ferry ride where you get the best city and mountain views and yummy clam chowder. That would be my recommendation for your next visit.

its just like a traditional yorkshire pudding. They originally had a filling in the middle and the one with sausages is called toad in the hole.

  19. The Rabbit News on January 7, 2020 at 10:11 am

That’s the right way to easy. Don’t east with two hands. Allison does it right. She used two hands two cut and the use one hand to easy.

  20. H Hong on January 7, 2020 at 10:11 am

I agree with Eric on the Gum Wall, it’s kind of cool but the smell of all that sugar and thought of it in people’s mouth were gross.

I have had a Dutch baby before. I love them. You can get some from The Original Pancake House. A good restaurant.

  25. Grant Smith on January 7, 2020 at 10:23 am

In the Netherlands, pancakes are really popular, but they’re really thin… unlike your Dutch Baby!.

The syrup (stroop) is something the Dutch eat with savoury and sweet pancakes all the time.

  26. 야미데이 Yummyday on January 7, 2020 at 10:24 am

Seattle: endless rain, dirty hippies, homeless everywhere, violent crime downtown, passive aggressive locals, terrible burgers ( Dick’s), more rain, more homeless…….pass.

  29. SuperGourmetguy on January 7, 2020 at 10:26 am

The Dutch baby looks like a rip off Yorkshire pudding

  32. Grant Smith on January 7, 2020 at 10:30 am

Naans and chicken are cooked in a ‘Tanddor’, hence where ‘Tandoori’ comes from.

  36. Snugly Fluff on January 7, 2020 at 10:32 am

I thought Matt got married and had a child – where were they hiding the 3 weeks you visited? No pics with them?

  37. Shevaugn Greenlee on January 7, 2020 at 10:32 am

I was told the gum wall started because of the market theatre. You weren’t supposed to chew gum in the theatre and so people would stick their gum on the wall before going in. It just sort of got out of control from there until it became a landmark

  38. El Smeghead on January 7, 2020 at 10:33 am

It IS a giant yorkie pud. We had one last night filled with chips (fries) and chicken in white wine sauce & fresh tarragon. Proper British "winter warmer" comfort food.

  39. A James on January 7, 2020 at 10:34 am

You guys should go on another cruise

  40. Stacey Kelly on January 7, 2020 at 10:35 am

A Dutch Baby is a smaller version of a German Pancake. Delicious!!!

  41. Jake & Ry Travels on January 7, 2020 at 10:37 am

Sun? In Seattle? We thought it just rained all the time! But these markets look so nice!

  42. J Wand on January 7, 2020 at 10:37 am

    Come to Toronto!

  43. DenaInWyo on January 7, 2020 at 10:39 am

I spent 6 months in Bellingham last year, and one of the things I miss this most? Beecher’s smoked flagship! My favorite cheese ever. If anyone else out there is missing it and not wanting to pay the $25 for 8 oz to have it shipped, look for smoked Old Croc at your grocery store. It even has the little gritty bits in it. Very close! When they were talking about the cheese I thought "wonder if it’s Beechers.." Yay! (It’s seriously THAT good)

  44. Stacy M on January 7, 2020 at 10:43 am

I love Tilikum Place Café! The baked eggs are yummy.

  46. ColorCodeTrader on January 7, 2020 at 10:43 am

Calling something doughy has negative connotations. Rather, did you mean custardy or unctuous?
