With the bad advice we humans get from drug dealing doctors, expect vet advice to be 10 times worse.

raw food is great for cats

  4. Justin Henry on September 24, 2022 at 8:41 am

Raw meat from human grade butchers has always been budwisers favorite. Watching him crunch down on a raw pig spine was very entertaining. Pasture raised meat too

These are literal scientific sources and ppl still just want to ignore it. Lol their ignorance is showing. There is not scientific evidence to say it is good.

Why do these types of people always come off as pompous douches?

  9. Dennis on September 24, 2022 at 8:45 am

I’m so glad there are people like you!! I just show your video to people that know i feed my cats raw and you convince them that raw is the way to go!! What an ass!!

  10. Zee on September 24, 2022 at 8:45 am

Glad to have a perfect example of a living moron out of many others in this industry. Don’t ever delete this video, son! Rather than advising people to not feed their pets raw food try using your time to study well or just find another career where your mind actually works.

  11. JulyBug on September 24, 2022 at 8:46 am

Dude, thanks for making this video so we could get so many RAW FOOD testimonials in the comments!

  12. Lou on September 24, 2022 at 8:46 am

I have fed my AKC championship bred Akita, Blue Wilderness supplemented with beef stew chunks(from time to time) and, he has been THE MOST healthy dog I have ever owned! Never had a serious illness, beautiful coat, no problems going to bathroom, happy and, at 8 years old, runs around and acts like a puppy to this day! My Vet is quite amazed at his age he is as active and healthy as he is. If your dog has any underlying problem, feeding raw beef might be an issue. Check with your vet. However, guys like this are clueless! I don’t care where he goes to school or what little experience he thinks allows him to across the board condemn feeding your dog raw meat!

  13. RKBAtruckingshow on September 24, 2022 at 8:48 am

You’re a moron. The study you quoted to support your wrong opinion was funded by kibble companies and has seen multiple retractions

  14. Daina on September 24, 2022 at 8:48 am

Did you just… Did you just share a study from TWO THOUSAND FREAKING THIRTEEN? Are you for real? Care to tell me who funded that study? No? I didn’t think so.

  16. macmarles on September 24, 2022 at 8:49 am

So many people are misinformed and if a lot of pet owners just walked into a natural pet food store, they would see that there’s a myriad of options in the raw section that are simple and convenient and a million times better than fucking purina and Iams! Your pet deserves better so give them better. Hare Now has raw blends you can add a supplement pre mix to. It doesn’t have to be that hard! Your cat or dog will feel so much better after you guys quit feeding them garbage!

  17. animalfangS$ on September 24, 2022 at 8:50 am

Domestic Cows can’t eat raw grass? Are we supposed to cook the grass since they’re domesticated?

  18. Joseph Michael Vocalist on September 24, 2022 at 8:51 am

Why are you referencing a god damn wolf for DNA/Genetic comparison when a house cat is nearly identical genetically to a wild cat? This Video is junk science by an ignorant corporate shill. No carnivore should be eating anything but but. Period.

Even omnivores should be getting mostly good sources of animal products (us too). This is nonsense. Bad Science Andrew.

  19. Nick Kestler on September 24, 2022 at 8:57 am

Everyone against the raw diet always starts their argument with "can potentially harm". ANY food "can potentially harm" you. Imagine cutting out sushi restaurants because raw fish "can potentially harm" us.

  20. Vayikra on September 24, 2022 at 8:58 am

So tell me this, if I have a content wolf dog am I suppose to feed it kibble? Because wolves and dogs are so close in DNA that they can produce VIABLE FERTILE OFFSPRING. So sir, what should I feed my wolf dog, food that has only been around for a couple hundred years, or food they have lived on for thousands of years?

  21. Sean Snyder on September 24, 2022 at 8:59 am

2:35 Guy, regardless of your opinion on the subject; you taking classes doesn’t equate to actual experience. I literally can’t imagine having such a massive ego at your age that you’d pretend that putting in 50-100 hours in a classroom is even remotely close to the decades of experience Peter Caine has with dogs.

  22. Daina on September 24, 2022 at 9:02 am

It’s actually great you made this video. If you ever have your own practice, people can know to stay the f**k away.

I once met a vet who said cats need a "balanced diet" of carbohydrates. I was doing TNR in my neighborhood, and out of five cats I brought to her (because the local animal group insisted on using her) she almost killed two, one out of incompetence/negligence, one out of sheer stupidity. She also washed a kitten in kurkumin and his mother abandoned him, so I had to find him a home. I ditched her and the animal group and from then on took all the cats to a decent vet, even though I had to pay for everything myself. After numerous horror stories, the animal group finally dumped her as well, but not after a lot of animals suffered.

Now when I look for a new vet, the first thing I ask is what food they recommend. If they say kibble, I say goodbye.

  23. JulyBug on September 24, 2022 at 9:03 am

He’s worried about salmonella, but probably let’s his cat or dog lick his face after they’ve licked their butt.

  24. Firstly Lastly on September 24, 2022 at 9:04 am

Bullshit watch what happens when they get a hold of a small creature same thing a cat does yum yum yum.

  25. Dawn Orr on September 24, 2022 at 9:05 am

Absolutely the most uneducated, fear based, biased video. It’s always funny when they try and scare people but never point out all the damage kibble diets do to our pets.

  26. no on September 24, 2022 at 9:06 am

I dont think people should feed raw, most people dont know what their pet needs. If you do go ahead love life I feed partial raw. No commercial stuff though.

  27. SeaweedCat on September 24, 2022 at 9:06 am

Okayyy as a dog owner who DOESN’T feed my dog raw food I have a lot of thoughts about this.

    1. One of the clips that you showed of someone who feeds their dog a raw diet literally said "Don’t trust your vet" – so the fact that any research paper has been written by board certified veterinarians and peer reviewed as well means nothing to these kind of people (think big pharma/big tobacco)

    2. Anecdotally we’ve seen a lot of claims that a raw diet has helped people’s dogs and their health problems, but we don’t have any scientific research on whether this is true or not? As far as I’m aware, no research =/= no proof. If there was research that showed that there was very little evidence for the benefits of a raw diet then I’d be more interested, but even so that means there’s still an unexplained third variable that are making people’s pets benefit from raw diets that we don’t know about.

    3. Raw food brand recalls – this video failed to point out that recalls happen quite often for food brands that AREN’T raw as well. Even Purina, a brand that I know many vets stand by, has had at least one recall in the past over having bits of plastic in their cat food. There could be a higher ratio of raw brands being recalled than not-raw brands, but I personally don’t find that a compelling argument against raw diets, because I would assume quite a few people will just instead make their pets meals at home (ie buying human grade meat straight from the butchers or something like what you parodied at the beginning of the video).

The strongest argument against raw diets I saw in this video was about the 30 key genome differences between wolves and dogs – but I feel like this was glossed over quite a bit. Some of them are involved in carbohydrate digestion/fat metabolism – how many? 2 genomes? 29? These genomes are different, but in what way? Good, bad, neutral?

Science is meant to be unbiased. – collect all the information that’s available, and make a conclusion based off all the information you have. You also should be acknowledging what’s missing from the information and the limitations of the conclusions you’ve made. It’s fair to want to tell people not to feed their pet raw diets but I don’t think it’s fair to only pick and choose whatever evidence fits your argument. I think it might be good to revisit this video from a more strictly scientific point of view and don’t be afraid of weighing both the pros and cons – if raw diets are truly not good for our pets at all, then the evidence should speak for itself.

  28. Andrea Hl on September 24, 2022 at 9:07 am

What a piece of sh…. video, shame on such """vet""". I think its time for him taste his own diet, how about KFC and other high processed food that woul equal the crap comercial food that most people give to their pets!!!

  29. macmarles on September 24, 2022 at 9:08 am

The fuck is wrong with you, man?! Do your fucking research! My cat is doing way WAY better on Primal versus the goddamn Hill Science YOU "fully informed nutritionist" veterinarians tout so much! You’re part of the problem, man, go educate yourself better instead of what the big pet food companies tell you in your training SMFDH!!!!

  30. Ghost Rider on September 24, 2022 at 9:09 am

    You lost me at “nutrionalist”…

  31. Sushibart on September 24, 2022 at 9:11 am

Lol this guy litterally threw on his religion of science garments at his house to make himself look official….lmao imagine thinking kibble is better than their natural diet in which they evolved with. Sheesh

  32. Barlow Smith on September 24, 2022 at 9:12 am

This guy has to be on something? Red Bull would be my best guess! hahahahahahah. If raw meat is so bad why did he smash it all over the place spraying it in his face probably.

  33. r tay on September 24, 2022 at 9:13 am

This guys cat is a vegan

  34. Blinks Bill on September 24, 2022 at 9:15 am

Why is there no studies on raw food diets? Um because there’s no money in it.

  35. Kyonarai on September 24, 2022 at 9:18 am

I’ve had way better results feeding whole prey raw(already balanced) than even the highest quality canned or kibble. Some breeds seem to do better with the addition of some refine grains(usually the landraces/breeds that developed as livestock guardians, and were generally fed ground, soaked(sometimes fermented) grains, excess milk, and livestock ofal/bones. The years of natural selection to survive on that diet doesn’t go away overnight.) But most can do just fine on whole prey raw.

I think the biggest danger in raw diets is unbalanced food, which is very possible in the franken prey models, but I see zero downsides to a whole prey diet if the dog is healthy and not immunocompromised, and proper food handling safety occurs.

Two of my dogs were imported from Europe, and their breeder never feeds kibble. She has giant breed, 150lb plus dogs living to 15.5 YEARS, and that’s frankly unheard of in the US.

  36. Dennis on September 24, 2022 at 9:19 am

How much do you make from the pet food companies pushing their garbage!!

  37. Barlow Smith on September 24, 2022 at 9:20 am

Raw food is natural – and my dog is 1000 times better on it,,, kibble is like giving them cornflakes and Big Macs every single day. No wonder dogs are passing 5 years earlier than they should .

  38. Ruth Esther on September 24, 2022 at 9:21 am

Not gonna lie, I am not totally sold on this raw meat craze. I don’t want a dog reeking of raw meat filled with salmonella running around my house. Do these people wipe the dogs face and paws with disinfectant wipes to clean them up at least?

  39. FlatEarthLuvr on September 24, 2022 at 9:22 am

Why the hell. Did he bring a bucket of water into his living room to wash his hands for that dumb bit.

  40. Ruby Johnson on September 24, 2022 at 9:24 am

Cats would buy mice!! It is a miracle that dogs survived in our care for millenia without kibbles …

  41. Grissol on September 24, 2022 at 9:25 am

Here’s some science for you: all animals eat a raw diet in nature, yes, including us

  42. Jay_98 on September 24, 2022 at 9:25 am

The processed dog and cat food that you find at the store is not good for them. If you feed your dog or cat that , they are not going to live that long .

The majority of ignorant humans in the world are college educated and so full of their own shit they smell miles away. Dr’s are the worst because why would we believe anything they tell us. If we all would take responsibility for our own health do research stop popping all their sick legal drugs that are making us sick. but then again what do I know pretty sure Dr’s would be out of a job and unable to charge us 500 to see him tell us bs for 5 minutes like he’s God. no he is on the wrong side not to help us.
