BOOHOO STORYTIME / BOOHOO SCAM / I WAS SCAMMED / RETURNS UPDATE
Disclaimer: This video does not set out to harm or convince viewers to avoid Boohoo.com – it is merely an honest account of my own personal experience with the company, and the process in which I went through in order to be issued a full refund.

In the end, Boohoo did refund me the full amount that I was owed. In this video, I recount my experience step by step to show you how Boohoo.com goes about issuing their refunds, and the reasons that I highly recommend you do not attempt to return items that you aren’t satisfied with. I also discuss Pretty Little Thing, ASOS and Missguided, and the experiences that i’ve had with returning items to these sites.

    Idk…ppl keep commenting about the inept financial department at Boohoo acting like an 8 year old is running the accounts but to me it sounds like an elaborate system of keeping people’s money after sending them wrong and very cheap and possibly defective product. I bet SO many people would have given up much earlier in the process and probably after the about half was refunded.
    It’s very likely a lucrative practice even though it sounds like so much more work then just selling good product and issuing proper refunds…and the stress of managing such shady practices has to wear on someone out there…well…maybe….maybe not. Anyway, thanks for sharing on YT and I hope it helps shed some light on their strange and shady deals.

    I ordered from boohoo one time and I’m from the US but I got my refund and everything but it took awhile to get a notification back. But I still got the right amount. I feel so bad for your story that was ridiculous to hear

    I’ve had a similar issue with ASOS. I placed an order (around AU$200) using my credit card. They took the money, my order got cancelled, they said I’d refunded, but it never was. They asked for a copy of my credit card statement (they wouldn’t accept screenshots of my online account.
    It’s been over 3 years and I still have not gotten my money. I will only ever use PayPal with them now so I can dispute it if it ever happened again.

    Isn’t refunding to different payment methods against money laundering laws? In the uk anyway. I doubt that they can see if it’s the same card on your PayPal as the original payment. Tut tut boohoo, you could be in more trouble than just being shitty at customer service!

    I order from booho twice in 1 day, about $100 each order so $200 all together. The first one was shipped out but the 2nd order was cancelled/refunded to me, so i emailed them asking why, they said to me that my details were wrong and i was like how that possible when i just got an order shipped out WTF
    i was like stuff it I saved $100, then i got my first order i returned some stuff cause i didnt like it and they refunded double the amount and i was just so confused
    Like their finance department their probably all getting fired.

    So in conclusion boohoo is a shady website proceed with caution.

    "This is not something we do."– was done twice and asked for repeatedly until it came out she was a Youtuber…sure…I bet they wanted that information to sell it. Not in like a identity fraud way, but companies pay to know what people are buying so they can target advertisements for their products on other sites that their customers/perspective customers might use. (Like, oh we see that most people who spend a lot at Starbucks also spend a lot at Forever 21, let’s market Starbucks on Forever 21’s website–just an example no idea if that is true).

    i personally had problems with asos 2 times, so i wont shop there anymore. they didnt pay my refunds and i had similar experiences like you had with boohoo!

    Hey I live in Italy and I want to return ALL the items of an order. On the website they say that they refund the shipping costs (that are quite high from Italy) but customer service has contradicted itself several times, so I don’t really trust what they say. Do you know if they refund the shipping costs or not?

    At first I was like OMG I would not let 70 dollars go but once you explained it I understand you didn’t wanna struggle with it, but for some people like you said that’s a week’s pay check or like for me and mines thats our weekly grocery budget and I wouldn’t be able to just loss 70 dollars. That’s why I love watching your videos so I know where to shop and not lose my needed money!

    I ordered 3 dresses from BooHoo a few months ago.
    Thankfully, all 3 were beautiful.
    One was too long for me (I’m a dwarf) (I expected it to be the same length as the other two dresses)

    HOWEVER it fits my mum, and She has absolutely nothing nice to wear to anything special, (she looked so beautiful I wanted to cry lol) so I’m so glad I lucked out.

    Also I don’t bother with returning things online and I always look at reviews.

    I’m sorry they fucked you around so badly god damn.

    How you described ASOS returns, (excluding the refund on the same day) is the same experience I’ve had with boohoo every time I’ve purchased with them. I even purchased their years worth of next day delivery!

    Boohoo is honestly the worst. I’ve bought twice from them with years intervals. Enough time to forget how crap they are. Both times I got cheap clothing broken earrings and a bag I picked up and the handle just came off. Wot? Eh. The. Worst.

    I used to work in book keeping. I bet you what the person did who sent the wrong amount refunds was refunding you the original COST of the items. The price the company pays rather than what they actually charged you.

    I ordered something from a store on amazon called sea bott, went to the ups store and literally later that same day I got my refund…so boohoo needs to get their crap together
