We feed our dogs Authority and they do quite well with it, we also have 2 cats, one of them is also on Authority but the other has a history of bad teeth and the only food we can find that helps her really well is Science Diet Oral. She’s never had any issues with it, and we dont give any of them canned or wet food very often
I feed my dog chicken or beef with rice (sometimes eggs, peas, carrots and whatever thrown in the mix) in the daily but I do leave dry food (pedigree :<) out for her though she doesn’t tend to eat a lot of it, what would be a better dry food alternative if any of y’all know ??
Its frightening to know what these companies are really doing. I wish it were more widely known. I knew about it but when I mention it to people they just look blankly at me. Our animals deserve better

Also I think a diet that is mostly hay when it comes to horses is best. There is still mold and other contaminates in hay but a responsible owner can tell a hay is moldy and needs to be discarded and will also break up the hay from its flake form in order to sort out any pieces of metal and other gross things.

But my cat (my profile picture) HAS to be on hills because he has really bad bladder issues… my profile picture is actually when we were at the vet for help… he had his tongue out because was was still recovering from anesthesia so our vet could drain his bladder manually because he had a blockage of crystals….

I’ve had great luck with HILLS ideal balance dry food. I make the majority of her food from scratch but give her that to mix in.

I cook food every 2 days for my chow and my dachshund so it’s fresh and I know exactly what goes in there food!
I know blue buffalo has a mold problem in their food too. It can and will kill your pet
I sell pedigree dog food, and I ALWAYS find human hairs and fabric threads inside the croquette, disgusting and dangerous.
