This is really hard to watch. It’s clear the dog is uncomfortable. He is sliding everywhere, a mat for him to sit on would reduce a lot of the joint stress so he can be stable.

  2. Suzette Smith on June 14, 2022 at 8:18 pm

Wow what an easier way to deshed a shepherd. I have one and love the breed. But the undercoat is hard to get out. Thank you so much for sharing

  3. Catherine Beatific on June 14, 2022 at 8:19 pm

He’s a good boy. I know he was loving the way the bath felt. I learned to groom by watching you and the girl with dogs. I absolutely love furminator shampoo and deshedding brushes. I’ve heard people say sheds can get this bad so I spot check mine. Luckily I haven’t seen this but I do like to let grooming go at times just to get those tiny hair tufts to pluck out lol pluck a GSD.

  4. Debra Levesque on June 14, 2022 at 8:20 pm

what did you use to get the under coat to fall away like that? what kind of shampoo ? you didn’t say or show the kind of shampoo or what the 2nd bottle of stuff you put in the water, so what are the products did you use please do tell

  5. Kathy Evsich on June 14, 2022 at 8:21 pm

I have a gs that looks just like this. She is very arthritic. Sooo I am trying to find a way to get out all of that undercoat. She can’t stand for long periods which makes it even harder

  6. Krysy Legge on June 14, 2022 at 8:22 pm

Still thinking brushing the dog would help rather than just leaving him to get in the uncomfortable state.

  7. ColdDead Hands on June 14, 2022 at 8:23 pm

I hope he got a treat!

  8. Gaye İzgiç on June 14, 2022 at 8:27 pm

Well watching this video was relaxing, I have a long coat Akita and we are having same problem twice a year. Seeing this dog getting rid of mess made me happy. You are such a nice lady and thank you for being so nice to our paw friends. ❤️

  9. Cris S on June 14, 2022 at 8:27 pm

I hope it feels good for the like a good massage.

  11. Da Stig on June 14, 2022 at 8:28 pm

12 years old and looking good! I adore these dogs but i wouldn’t put myself through the heartache again. Back legs, it’s hard to see mans best friend like that.

  13. CupcakeYeahYeah on June 14, 2022 at 8:33 pm

What medicated shampoo do you use for dogs with itchy skin and hot spots?

  14. Lupe Nava on June 14, 2022 at 8:33 pm

Hi there!! I am so happy I came across your video. For those of us that bathe our German Shepherds at home, is this a system that can be install in our bath? Thank you in advance

  15. Melody Headley on June 14, 2022 at 8:35 pm

I wonder if the water pressure is too strong does it hurt them however it does seem that the dog is very comfortable

  16. Chad Swinford on June 14, 2022 at 8:38 pm

What is making the undercoat come out so easily? Will it work on newfies?

  17. Don Freas on June 14, 2022 at 8:38 pm

God I love those GSD Dogs.

  18. ・. ᴄᴀʀᴅ ʀᴀᴄᴄᴏᴏɴ .・ on June 14, 2022 at 8:42 pm

if i was a groomer, i wouldn’t handle seeing dogs of all kind, so i would just be playing with them all day-

  19. Samantha Kwait on June 14, 2022 at 8:42 pm

My parents just put their 15 year old German shepherd down. The vet said they’d never seen one so old. This guy is so cute

  20. talayah1 on June 14, 2022 at 8:43 pm

I want my dog to get groomed today

  21. James Haddix on June 14, 2022 at 8:43 pm

This GsD was very behaved and I bet he feels better also

  22. Lanette Price on June 14, 2022 at 8:44 pm

I have a Grand fir baby that looks so much like him. Copper is one big guy but a sweetheart k9 trained. My Granddaughter could walk Copper when she was 2. This guy is a big sweetheart but get tired of this.

  24. l S on June 14, 2022 at 8:47 pm

I used to have a pomeranian, all of the hours brushing him, and I realized that all I needed was that bathtub! I’m blown away

  25. Joanna Banks on June 14, 2022 at 8:48 pm

I wish the undercoat of my fat could be washed away like this.

  26. Kit Rodriguez on June 14, 2022 at 8:50 pm

I came to watch the grooming process and stayed because of how behaved this GSD is. Probably nervous and wondering why his human left him there, but literally no snarls, or anything aggressive whatsoever.

  27. Rayshell Daniels on June 14, 2022 at 8:51 pm

Is that a special shampoo to remove the hair or just rinsing until it comes off?

  28. lori turner on June 14, 2022 at 8:52 pm

Where can i get one of these nozzles?

  29. Dene Mitchell on June 14, 2022 at 8:53 pm

As I have had a GSD who made it to 16, I can tell by the way he is standing and moving around that his back left hip was causing him pain from the pressure and movement of the water jet. He but this is common among the breed. He was amazingly forgiving and took it, all while in discomfort. He won’t be able to take that sort of treatment for to much longer.
This is not a criticism of your work or you just a personal observation about the breed and how he acted when being washed in left or right side and what those reaction could mean.
    But love the video

  30. talayah1 on June 14, 2022 at 8:55 pm

How are you shave and a dog with water

  31. Charlotte Rowe on June 14, 2022 at 8:56 pm

Older German Shepherds often have problems with hip displaysia. He looks uncomfortable and this could be part of his problem (aside from being unaccustomed to being bathed)

  32. yingsanlau on June 14, 2022 at 8:57 pm

Wait do you just do this for views and stuff

  33. Skallia Ray on June 14, 2022 at 9:00 pm

big dogs really hate being on that table. it’s one of the reasons i learned to do all the basic grooming for my GSD at home. He’s a big boy and besides that he has slid off the side of the table with that leash on his neck too many times. thankfully when he was smaller and they just helped him back up. Most groomers ive tried to take him too don’t have the penitents to clam him down on the table before trying to work with him. But that’s okay my aunt groomed dogs for years, i learned everything from her.

  34. Willie Reed on June 14, 2022 at 9:01 pm

The amount of work u done is not worth the amount of money u charge. Im sorry but not sorry

  35. Colorful Colorist on June 14, 2022 at 9:01 pm

What would you suggest for a 6 year old border collie/husky mix? She’s never been to a dog groomer and she doesn’t like it when I brush her.

I know this is an old video but can someone explain how that nozzle is pushing the undercoat out like that with out having to brush at in the tub?

  38. Astro on June 14, 2022 at 9:04 pm

Is there a way I can prevent so much of an undercoat to build up?

  39. Phan9ir1 on June 14, 2022 at 9:04 pm

What nozzle is that purple one?

  40. FIX DELACROIX-FRANCE on June 14, 2022 at 9:06 pm

  44. James Haddix on June 14, 2022 at 9:10 pm

I take my GSD too very office he hates toe nail trims

  45. renee harrison on June 14, 2022 at 9:10 pm

I took my 9mo old German Shepherd Husky mix to a self service grooming station to really get at the undercoat and I’m glad you posted a detailed video because I did pretty well for a first timer lol but I want to see how a professional would do it. My puppo is too nervous and rude to risk a professional groomer getting hurt by him but he will let me do it! And I want to do right by him so he can be so comfortable 🙂
