Was 14-Year-Old Who Died at Orlando Amusement Park Too Heavy for Ride?
Tyre Sampson, the gentle giant who plunged to his death at an amusement park in Orlando, Florida, stood at 6 foot 5, and weighed over 300 pounds. The 14-year-old had reportedly been turned away from at least two other rides at the park because of his size. The accident happened at ICON Park, where the 430-foot FreeFall ride is a popular attraction. In Europe, the maximum passenger weight on the ride is 287 pounds; in the US, there is no maximum weight restriction.
It’s common since for both the workers and him
The theme park shouldn’t allow the young man on any of the rides because of his weight, RIP young man. If he loses some weight like I am then he can go on any rides that he wants.
That is my only child . Peace ✌️
The us should have more restraints on height and weight limits, personal ex
1. Kindga ka- I was under the height limit but I still got let on, I almost slipped out during the free fall
2. Super flight at rye- i was slipping out the the metal thing that hold you in (i was 7 and smaller that the average size for my age" and more then half of my legs were sticking out, I was just holding on to the handles with the tips of my fingers
The company should have had more people property checking the rides.
This the type of reporting that makes you want to slap a reporter
I once had a sketch experience at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Rode Madusa and my harness didn’t click all the way. Operator said it was fine but in the loop my chest was below the harness. Only thing keeping me in was that secondary harness + some good arm strength.
Rides like this don’t need seatbelts but my God if the staff is too dumb to realize he wouldn’t fit then they for sure need to add a seatbelt
It’s not "just" because of his size. The whole accident would not even have been technically possible if there were seatbelts. I am from Germany and such a ride would not have existed here without seatbelts. Even if the strap (or how is it called?) didn’t hold up or wasn’t tight enough, a seatbelt probably would have held it up. Of course, size and weight restrictions should still be followed!
He was way to fat the didn’t deny him I was there cause he said is it cause I’m black because he kept rd getting turned down from rides he pulled the race card I was there
What secondary devise eat less
No such thing as too big
The father said he weighed 340 pounds. Which one is it inside edition?
He shouldn’t have been allowed on that ride
The park is at fault
The kid die do to gravity weight and the fact that he was not secured
Looking at the pics , the harness may have been locked in a secure position but only chest up and it a gap.
The speed of the ride coming down at a quick speed , then stoping , his heavy weight caused him to slip out quite easily.
I’ll bet you any money that when the ride went up that kid probably knew he was in trouble.
I remember being on a ride when I was young and I knew I wasn’t secure probably, I still stayed on the ride and several times during the ride I was slipping.
I never went on another carnival ride again.
R.I.P
Why can’t you show it to us.
why did they let him on its so stupid they should have thought of his saftey
Uh stupid there is a weight limit in the USA
Omg
So today he wanted to go to their mother and all that so when he went down he was too heavy and he was like scared to think it was full but he doesn’t matter so he just went down there and everyone’s on your day will have a hard-working and day and they couldn’t do it anymore because all of everyone put a balloon and I love him it belitt
He is not too heavy the workers did not check his seatbelt
The seat he was on was misadjusted I don’t think it has anythin to do with his weight hmmm in fact
Image just hear him screaming mama and then silence so traumatizing I would hate for what the mother is going through.☹️☹️☹️☹️
Duh
Why he even got on that ride tho looks so scary
rip so sad this had put me of drop towere a bit rip
Short answer: YES
Yes.
He should have known better.
Should of not let him on ride
Moral of the story is – never feel bad about turning people away for their size. Do not be inclusive and spare feelings in situations where death is possible.
I don’t understand how he was probably the biggest on the ride, and the harness was still closed after her fell. Does that mean as the biggest guy on the ride he just slipped out or what??
This is why I always check my own seat, sometimes the operator will just look at the seat and now check the actual safety of it
did you have to name the video that? disgusting people
You want to be a jr football player, then don’t expect to be welcomed at most park rides.
I don’t appreciate them calling him a giant
ayo
To big turned away to 2 other rides. Rip baby
He fell to his death like Kong Kong did when he fell off the Empire State Building
Damn that’s mean calling him heavy
Skill problem
His seat was clearly not latched in place. Someone wasn’t doing their job. If he was too big for the thing to latch in place they should have forced him to get off.
He was having gynacomestia
