Hey y’all, Brooklyn here! I’m so excited to share this with you guys… I got a #DOG! I’m bringing you along for the entire adoption process, all the way from me submitting my application to be his mommy, to finding out that I got him! Do you have any pets?? 🐶

I have been playing around with the idea of getting a puppy, and it’s definitely been in the back of my mind for several months now! I was a little hesitant, just because I know it’s a HUGE responsibility, and to be honest, I really love my independence!

Ultimately, I was open to the idea of getting a puppy, so I knew that if the timing was right, I would pursue it. My family often fosters dogs from a rescue shelter in Dallas called Doodle Rock Rescue, which basically means that they take care of dogs for periods of time while the shelter is in search of the dog’s forever family! Earlier this year, my family fostered two tiny puppies named Finn & Easton.
After a lot of thought (and bonding with Finn over several weeks), I knew that I wanted to apply to adopt him! It was definitely a process for me, and very emotional at times, but in the end it was all worth it… because I GOT FINN! Finding out that I was approved to adopt him was one of the best moments of my life so far! He’s such a good little #puppy and I’m so glad he’s now mine! On to potty training!
