Hi I’m new to the aquarium hobby and I wanted to start out with a 10gal tank and I was wondering if the fish I’m getting would do good with each other and how many I should keep in the tank noted it will have two filters one with a 3 stage filter and a regular sponge filter.
    Animals:
    African dwarf frog-1
    Dwarf Gourami-1
    Mollies-2
    Platties-2
    Neon tetras-4
    Shrimp-2
    Bristlenose pleco-1
Haha I know its alot but I really need help deciding how munch I can actually keep or put in the tank.
And also which type of substrate is good for live plants?

Hi I’m so sorry once again I’m asking another question but you are the only YouTuber that answers my questions and I’m happy for that I wanted to ask your opinion if the new Fluval spec with the new led is good for a beginner it’s a 5gallon tank I looked at all your videos and even how to cycle a tank I just wanted to know if it would be a good tank to be able to cycle

Hello, thank you for sharing your videos I find them very interesting and I’ve learned a lot. I have a Betta tank with dividers and they all are doing great. But I have noticed one that seams to spit water out of the top of the water and I have goggled why or is that a good thing? I have a Male’s but this one just keep sitting out water and it sounds like a fountain. If you have time I would love to find out why he’s doing that? They all have created bubble nests. And it’s not food he’s spitting out it water. If you have an answer I would be grateful to so kind if answer. Please and Thank you!

I’m thinking of getting a betta fish now that I’m mature and old enough to understand everything. This series is the best on Youtube. Wonderful info and help. I’m so glad I found this BEFORE I dove into the hobby (pun intended). Thank you so much!

What type of light do you use for live plants

  25. Stacie Gibbins on November 5, 2019 at 4:54 am

If you use betta water do you still need to condition the water?

  26. izadine on November 5, 2019 at 4:55 am

Regarding inner filter, I have used the Eheim inner pick up filter 45 which is for small tanks up to 50 l if I remember right. I used it in a 32 L tanke and it is very mild and you can change the flow and the direction. Before that I used an even smaller inner filter but it had too low flow for the circulation of the water.

Hi, I’m new to fishkeeping and I wanted to create a natural environment for my betta do I decided to use Seachem Flourite as a substrate, in order to plant it. I found out that it was a clay based substrate so the water gets awfully cloudy when the substrate is even lightly disturbed. I was wondering if you were familiar with Flourite and if you could pass along some tips. Thanks

  35. Aditya Hande on November 5, 2019 at 5:10 am

Hello , I need some help with the filter flow and even with the filter running time. I recently bought a tank and I’m cycling it and noticed some things.
I have top filter running on my tank the filtered water flow is calm but the oxygen mixer inbuilt in the filter pump has a greater flow. How can I control the flow ?
How often do I need to keep the filter running?
And what should be the water change interval ?

  37. Blu on November 5, 2019 at 5:13 am

Do you have video on how to take care of a planted tank

  38. Margaret Brown on November 5, 2019 at 5:14 am

I really like your system for Betta tanks and I’m wondering if you can use it for a different shaped tank? For instance, a half-moon 5 gal. or something else even.
I have watched your series and am now looking forward to starting a tank of my own with all of your advise. I never realized a Betta needed this much care and am really upset that my own fish is only in a 1 gal tank. I would’ve sent an email but you wished for people to send one if it only had questions related to shipping/ect. Sorry for this long comment…
But thank you for taking time to do all of these videos and I hope to be in touch with you again.

  41. Wilderness Bath Crafts on November 5, 2019 at 5:15 am

Loved this video! And the heater unfortunately is essential here in Scotland lol, the temps range from 28 degrees C to -14 degrees C where I am but it’s the altitude mostly

  42. Magnus Vinter on November 5, 2019 at 5:15 am

just a little tip do not keep enything with a pointy/sharp edge if you want the betta fish’s fins to look nice

  43. Charloot on November 5, 2019 at 5:15 am

  44. TOM BEARDSLEE on November 5, 2019 at 5:17 am

  45. Zach Broughton on November 5, 2019 at 5:18 am

Just curious, if I have a reverse osmosis system already set up for water, do I still need to get a water treatment kit?

  46. Corrie 97 on November 5, 2019 at 5:19 am

So if I get a 10 gallon and split it which sponge filter size would I need on both sides?

  47. prince moonstone on November 5, 2019 at 5:19 am

what filter is good for a 20 gallon?

  48. Twister Studios on November 5, 2019 at 5:20 am

Question: if you use Stability, how long would you need to wait for your tank to cycle? Would you need to wait at all?
