Old drama but my dog used to whine whenever my mom came in my room with the door shut. It started after I got my guinea pigs. It’s stopped now that she realized we’re not replacing her. Still jealous glares when my brother holds one.

The guinea pig story made me emotional. Got to the 15 year old cat and I’m bawling

Between my brother, mother and myself we have quite a few pets in our house and its neat to see the complex dynamics between them all. Our one cat Angel really likes our dogs and will play with them but really dislikes the others cats. My Ma has one elderly cat and he is respected by most of the cats and is best friends with my kitty. I could go on and on about the goings on between our pets, its always interesting to watch them.

I live with a husky and a Westie. The Westie despises the husky. Lots of growls from the little one. They fight constantly. The Westie instigates 99% of the fights.

Ace, a tomcat who got put out on the street when he was ~8 years old, patrols the neighborhood against cats he doesn’t approve of. Fortunately, he likes our 3-year-old Destiny, and he’s very well behaved indoors, so he’s no longer abandoned. She, on the other hand, is very food defensive due to being abandoned when she was a kitten. So she’s taken a while to warm up to him. She’s also spayed, so she’s never going to quite accept his overtures. But they can sniff each other and not hiss, at least when food isn’t at stake.

Fortunately, both are happy to have outside time, so they’re not constantly fighting inside.

"When it was her turn, Kitty groomed Iris."
Fuck you man that’s gonna be making me cry intermittently at random times for the next week or so. 🙁

My brother moved back home recently with his two barely-two-year-old cats, Morton and Shy Guy. I don’t think my family poodle, Benji, knows they exist, but our other cats definitely do. Fred (ginger, 19, arthritic and kinda blind) has been walking around the house a lot more making sure everyone still knows it’s his turf. Jake (13ish, black and white) just hisses whenever one gets close

My male cat bullies my terrier by smacking him when they pass.

Two of my dogs fight quite often, but nothing too bad to where they get hurt- namely just trying to steal each others toys smh

Then (this on isnt a problem) my other dog (doberman) and my cat love to cuddly with each other
(One time i walked in on that cat cuddling with my other cat and he looked so panicked as if i just found out he was cheating on his wife lmao)
